DC Area June 1st Rally

It is approximately 125 miles total for the full loop. There will be no event back at the Tysons Service Center at the end of the loop as drivers may want to peel off after we get to the Bull Run area and head back via I-66.

Yes, thank you @stealth and Lucid, nicely done.

And while we wait for the official photos...

Great to see everyone, and again many thanks to @stealth, Susanne and the rest of the Lucid team who held things together. Somebody blew a tire right in front of me. Could have been a day ruiner for those folks, but they still managed to show up at the destination winery on time thanks to the service team fixing them up in minutes.

Yes, thanks so much for the wonderful ride and the venues we visited. I was one of the unfortunate huge pothole tire destroyer victims that made it through the event. Many huge thanks to Lucid support for sending a vehicle back to get a new 20” rim and tire and fixing it at the winery after limping the bad one from the previous stop which was only 12 miles away. You guys make owning a Lucid such a wonderful experience.

Enormous turnout. I had a blast!

What a fantastic day out, huge thanks to all involved! Great catching up with old Lucid friends and meeting new ones

Susanne just sent these to me. Check out that color shift on my baby girl! 😍 There's a reason why I named her Chameleon! 😀😍

Fantastic event!

Ladies and Gents,

The DMV did it big this past weekend! We officially had the largest-ever Lucid owner event with over 60 vehicles and over 120 people in the group for our rally event! Check some of the photos on Lucid's socials. The professional photos are coming soon and I will share those here upon receipt.

MASSIVE thank you to everyone on the forum who helped spread the word and showed up for the rally. Special shoutout to @Babyrocko1908 who came down from PA along with shoutouts to the drivers who came down from NY, NJ, and DE. We also had a couple drivers from Richmond. It was truly awesome being able to meet so many of you in person, swapping stories and enjoying what was a gorgeous day outside at elevation in Virginia's wine country. I cannot think of another auto manufacturer that would host this type and caliber of event, free of charge, for its customers in our community.

I also want say thank you to those that shared feedback with me about the rally - good and bad. We tried to meet a lot of requirements for this first rally given the DC, MD, and VA touchpoints and we learned a lot in the process. We have already identified things that will be done differently to vastly improve the experience for the next big rally event; e.g. we'll start somewhere that doesn't entail a dozen traffic lights at the beginning that ended up separating us at each light, we'll skip the city detour in order to focus on the primary scenic route, and we'll try to get the route navigation/waypoints better communicated to all that show up (those not on the forum). Please Direct Message me here with any other thoughts from this weekend so we can make our next rally events even better and if you have any suggestions, ideas, or want to get involved, please let me know, too!

Here is a sneak peek at what is in the works for the next several months.

Mid July - Meetup, Lucids and Lattes (TBD in Maryland, within the Beltway)
Mid August - Educational, Service/Bodyshop Vendor Info Session (Sterling, VA)
Early September - Rally, Drive focused (TBD, Southern MD along Chesapeake Bay)
Mid October - Rally, Drive focused (TBD, Skyline/Shenandoah)
