Days left in fall

Given that last bit of information you shared, I think we need to notify Nick Twork that, for purposes of the Android Auto release, the Lucid Owners Forum has adopted the meteorological calendar of our official seasonal reference guide.
Seems like we are on the Astronomical calendar

Yeah, but nonetheless, it seems that you just can’t rely on time projections anymore. Even a source as trusted as the Bible said “Pride cometh before the fall.”, and I’m still waiting on that too!

With holidays next week, seems very unlikely that we will see a substantial update this week- unlikely they will want to troubleshoot issues through end of year 😭

Oh, ye of little faith!

Update

There are 192 days, 18 hours, 20 minutes, and 48 seconds until the start of fall (the autumnal equinox) on September 22nd, 2025, at 11:20 am.

Don't hold your breath. You WILL die waiting for Lucid. I'm still waiting for V2H and real Dream Drive Pro. Over 2 YEARS now...

Worst part is Lucid can't even share their product road maps for these features. I suspect they are too busy trying to save the company than fulfill promises that actually sold the cars they did sell.

Every startup has to make these choices.

What is "real Dream Drive Pro?" They've done what they originally said, with the hands free, eyes on highway driving still to come (delayed, of course). Were you expecting FSD, because Lucid never claimed they'd be providing such a feature?

I expect world class features for the price I paid. At this point virtually all car companies have surpassed Lucid's auto driving capabilities, and that is just plain sad. What is their new motto? Something about uncompromising? So far it is nothing but a compromise.

I am really tired of the Lucid owners that think that Lucid can do nothing wrong and they are the best. I purchased because I thought that too, but waiting over 2 years for the "dream" to become reality is pushing the limit of reasonableness and patients. Especially when you compare to far inferior brands.

BTW, what happened to bi-directional charging? Another failure to deliver? Ford and GM (and many others) seem to have accomplished what Lucid promised, years before Lucid.

This is embarrassing.

Consider, if you’re that unhappy, selling the car. I mean that with no disrespect. Zero chance I’m selling mine, but if it ain’t for you, there’s no reason to stay in the relationship.

Bounce. Find better for you. There’s nothing wrong with that. Good lesson for life, in general.

What other company has matched—let alone surpassed—Lucid’s drivetrain technology? None. And more importantly, who else has actually delivered a vehicle with this level of innovation and luxury? I agree with @borski —you should probably look elsewhere.

Lucid has not only delivered an incredible vehicle, but it has also continuously improved over time. The "failure to deliver" you're referring to wasn't part of the car at delivery. Ultimately, you bought the vehicle as-is, meaning if it didn’t meet your expectations at pickup, you had the choice not to proceed with the purchase.

Considering the interior quality, service experience, and groundbreaking drivetrain technology—not to mention the battery life—the price of these vehicles is more than reasonable. (cheap if you are buying used) In the words of Bobby Vee...I think once you try the competition you'll be bouncing back to Lucid...

Thanks. I will be taking life lessons from you!
Have you seen the prices for used Lucids?
I want Lucid to be the car company they promised to be. That includes meeting their promises in a timely manner, and providing the features we paid for, such as $10,000 for dream drive pro.
No matter what you say, ddp is a colossal flop given that even kia and hyundai systems are better...

No need. Lead your life however you see fit, I am far from any kind of expert on anything. But I hope you live one happy, at least. 🤷‍♂️

What's the price for your happiness?

I'm perfectly happy with the current state of DDP, as it works great for me. I'm even more excited for hands-free Drive Assist, but I don't mind it as it is now. Your mileage may vary, evidently, and that's okay.

I would agree on you with DDP at this point is not what they promised. But there is no way to compare Lucid to other brands like GM, Ford or Hyundai. The comparison should be with Merc, Jag so on so.

What features of DDPro besides “hands free” were promised but not delivered yet? I swear I’m legitimately asking, not being snarky (rare, I know 😉)

Hands Off \ Eyes Off Highway Pilot
Remote Automatic Park Pilot

Everything else has been delivered I believe but I'm also pretty sure they pulled the pin on Level 3 yet still had no issues charging people $10K for it. Also seems DDPro is now outdated without fulfilling everything Lucid promised. They've moved onto DreamDrive 2 so I think Hands Off could be the only thing to realistically expect on DDPro 1.

Not to forget they made it sound like better than anything available in the market.

That's just marketing 101. Annoying but they're not the only ones to do that. I do think companies should be held accountable to honor their promises or be prepared to issue refunds if they fail to deliver. DDPro price dropped drastically over the years but they originally took $10K and if a company is taking money upfront for something then new laws and regulations need to be defined. Tesla is clearly the running joke with FSD but Lucid played the same game and seems there's no consequences legally when they don't deliver.

This one stings a little because I was originally ordering a Touring but when I priced it all up with DDPro and the spec I wanted it looked better to just put the extra money in to go to the GT and have everything included as standard. Had I have known Lucid was going to take years to deliver features I would never have purchased DDPro and sacrificed the range and HP and just stuck with the Touring. Either way though I would have screwed myself over because at the time, Highway Assist was supposed to be part of DD Premium originally but when they couldn't deliver Highway Pilot they made HA the Pro feature and dropped it from Premium. DDPro on the Air is now $2,500 which is a far cry from the original $10,000.
