Mine takes a firm press in the lower right hand corner. But I usually use the cockpit button, or phone app, or (I think) watch app.
Full turn off sequence you have to remember with this car...haha. First you gotta mute your music, then you have to open the charge port door from the screen and THEN get out. And pray the doors don't lock while you're grabbing the chargerI use the button on the left cockpit panel touchscreen, because pressing that spot always just feels wrong. Like I'm going to make it loose over time or something.

yea that's way too late, if i get out of the car and grabbing something from the trunk, the music is still thumping out loud. Embarrassing if you're in a public parking lotMusic turns off when the car locks.

It's so engrained in me at this point, I don't even think about it anymore.Full turn off sequence you have to remember with this car...haha. Try pressing in the center near the bottom edge. I wasn't able to open it pressing towards the bottom right but pressing bottom center works consistently for me.I find that you have to push it. Simply touching (like the location Rivian has for their vehicles) doesn't open it.
Quantum gray Lucids are known for having more responsive charge port doors.
The manual tells us how to do this:Does anyone know how to "manually" open the charging port if the standard operating protocols have truly failed?
Asking the question because this has been reported for the EQS and mine is going to service tomorrow for this very problem.
Good thing that the car isn't on a road trip.
Thanks, Neil.
Zero difficulty. Try it once to convince yourself. Thanks, Neil.
Hope I’d never need to do this as I don’t know how difficult it’s to lift the port door up. I’m considering having in the car the door panel pryer just in case.
Thanks, Bobby.Zero difficulty. Try it once to convince yourself.
Go for it.Thanks, Bobby.
Time to make a video for this and the charging cable release?
No, not me. I meant for the YouTube Master @Bobby to add one more to his series.Go for it.![]()
