The update package will be the same regardless of when it was deployed. The differences will be in various components within the cars, different software configurations, etc. All we can do now is wait for Lucid to roll out a patch. It will come.Does anyone think it be worthwhile to trace back to see when all of us with DRIVE issues after the last update actually got the update to install. Like wondering if is a batch specific issue…
Yes unfortunately the bug has happened several times after removing facial recognition from my profile. I guess at this point we really have to just wait for an OTA update to fix this significant issue.I can debunk that one as I don't have facial recognition enabled in my profile.
Forget fixing, I'm honestly a little shocked this wasn't met with a rollback. Why wouldn't you just pull the update and push 2.6.11 again? We're talking about a software update that bricks your car for minutes every single day. If not this, when?
Yes, I'm a software engineer by trade.
Fwiw, if possible, I agree this would be the right move - but I don't know if there is a process for that, especially if it is only affecting a small number of vehicles, and rolling back would undo the improvements for all those not facing the issue.Totally agree. Roll it back. Or at least give the option to do so.
Really appreciate you sharing this and I hope this continues to work for you. It’s not just an after charging issue for me. It happens in various scenarios, after being parked for few hours, parked for a few minutes and also after charging. Also, I have a loud “clacking” sound paired with the car’s immobility. When the “clacking” stops, I’m able to shift into D or R and go about my day. The “clacking” is quite loud and quite embarrassing for passersby to hear. For me there’s no workaround except to just wait and frantically grab my phone to record a timestamp video for service and engineering. There shouldn’t have to be a workaround to be able to just get in the car and simply drive away, as I was able to do before the last update. And I shouldn’t have to be armed with my phone as I enter the car to be ready to record a timestamp if the issue decides to present itself. Sadly, my confidence and love for Lucid is at a crossroads at this point and this something I never expected to feel compelled to write on this forum. Seeing over a month pass by, my car has been in and out of service (for other issues), and the “clacking” was heard by service (something else was fixed instead). I’ve explained, discussed, shared recent video timestamps and am left feeling minimized, unacknowledged and misunderstood, as I indefinitely waiting for a fix that will eventually come…For all of you experiencing this problem, I may have just stumbled upon a work around. Yesterday, my car was charging in the parking garage at my office. The cellular signal is already pretty weak there and non-existent in the garage. So, instead of stopping the charging from my phone prior to reaching the car, I had to press the button on the Pilot Panel to stop charging. Oddly enough, the car went right into gear. None of the nonsense that I usually experience from this issue. Curious if this will work consistently or if anyone else has experienced this.
Can you upload a video of the 'clacking'?Really appreciate you sharing this and I hope this continues to work for you. It’s not just an after charging issue for me. I couldn’t agree with you more that this issue is unacceptable and the fact that it hasn’t been addressed yet by Lucid is even more unacceptable. I’ve never heard the clacking noise with mine and the refusal to go into gear does occur randomly even when not charging.Really appreciate you sharing this and I hope this continues to work for you. 2024 Pure wirh massage seats here. I have not yet experienced this issue. Just a data point. So, speaking of components - the only non vanilla thing in my car are the 20-way massaging seats. How about the rest of you? Though to be honest, I want to blame Bluetooth.
Mine is 2024 Air Pure with massage chairs and it has not affected me yet.2024 Pure wirh massage seats here. I have not yet experienced this issue. Just a data point.
I don’t have DD pro and I am affected. Touring 2024 ..Do any of you that have this issue have Dream Drive Pro ? Wondering if this is a DD Premium issue only. My concern is that given this is affecting a relatively small population of the Air community that it’s low on their priority, much like the Soft Door bug that I mentioned earlier.
