Surely if the software is aware enough to tell us "Camera Error - Turn your vehicle off and on again", you can also just address it without turning the vehicle off and on again. When you're trying to park somewhere in tight quarters, and this pops up as soon as you get part way in, having to put the car in park and reset it is not an acceptable solution. In this case, I had to reset 3 times before I got only the reverse camera working, and none of the rest would still load.

I know you're busy with Gravity and a million other issues, but come on already - you've clearly put enough effort into the diagnosis to generate this error display. Finish the work.

I've seen a lot of complaints about this in other forums, and it's been pretty frustrating for me too. Almost comically, it happened to us as we were at the Millbrae studio to see Gravity.

Yeah, it's a bit compounded by this being a big car, with not great sight lines. You really have to depend on the cameras/sensors. It's further annoying that it doesn't just inhibit the cameras, but also the sensors, so you really have nothing.

I end up having to get out of the car and look to try to park, often several times. Pretty embarrassing (though also embarrassing when the doors won't open with the fob, which has also become frequent for me).

I have seen somewhere that Turning off "Curb Rash Alert" fixes it. I have yet to try it because it only happened to me once. Fortunately, I was refilling tires and the vehicle locked on me. Upon getting into vehicle, the error subsided. I know it sucks but hopefully future S/W update resolves this issue..

Yes, this should fix the issue. I have this issue multiple times in a week and after turning the Curb Rash Alert, it stopped happening.

Same here. I finally turned that off two weeks ago, and haven't had a camera error since then. They were happening a few times a week before that.

This is very much a 2.5 issue. I'm sure they are working on it along with all of the other issues introduced in 2.5. The software team has been busy I'm sure. Buggy 2.5/Gravity launch/ end of year holiday season. I'm ready for it to be fixed also.

That's very interesting. I can see how its possible that this could be the cause since it's a new feature. I ran into the camera errors about 2x a month or so ago but haven't since then. Have yet to turn off the curb rash alert but should it happen again, I'll know what to do. Thanks for sharing the info!

Is one of the issues putting the car in reverse and having the rear camera display the turning arrow? And when it does load up, it gives you a view for a second before going black? This happens pretty often with me now and I assumed the cameras needed recalibration. I can turn the curb rash alert off and see what happens...

my fails would happen just from using the turn signals. tried the curb rash on/off.. no difference. re-boot would only fix after multiple reboots or getting away from the car for a few hours. i really feel that it's a hardware issue w/ latency... like if you get on a zoom call and you have to 'jiggle the handle' on the video button to get your camera to wake up. Same thing I feel. I say this.. as I started to notice a latency over time when operating the car... like the software is not doing a good job of keeping up with the hardware..and if it has to wait for a camera to come online, and it's slow... it fails and the software just assumes so. i'm sure we'll see an update soon that hopefully gets it all working. that is one of the main reasons why my car is in Millbrae for another week.

A fix for this is coming soon.

Turned off curb rash detection and still get the intermittent no 360 view when reversing. Noticed that I incorrectly said it was rear view camera but it's the 360 view that doesn't display - I do get the rear view on reverse.

Any solid dates? There are multiple bugs related to cameras, not trying to be PIA but its more than two months with us sitting on the bugs and hearing coming soon is little sad ☹️

There is not a specific date I can provide, unfortunately. I will definitely let you and the other owners know when I have more specific information to share.

Thank you for the response! I truly appreciate it. You and your team play a big role in keeping our spirits high about Lucid! 😃

absolutely appreciate the feedback @mcr16 ....very happy to hear that you hear us! :) Just picked my car up from service.. and the recalibration of all my cameras (so far) have been excellent.

Curb rash alert is indeed the culprit.

Uh, oh. I was about to turn off the curb rash alert but don't want to do that if it still doesn't fix the surround-view issue. I've been assuming the curb rash alert was still working. Although I hadn't seen it come on, I was just assuming I was staying far enough away from curbs.

So, does curb rash alert still function when the surround view malfunctions?

(I couldn't believe how dependent I have become on surround view for parking . . . until I started losing it. And I really like to find a space at the end of a row and hug the side curb as much as possible to reduce the chances of getting a door dinged by some asshat -- something that Florida silvercrests have elevated to an art form, along with parking at 15º angles in head-in parking spots.)

Like so many Lucid things, it seems to vary with the car. I turned off curb rash a week ago, and I haven't had a camera error since. I had been getting them a few times a week in the month before that.
