+1 to experiencing delayed backup camera imaging. My car was recently updated to 2.6.11. Mine resulted in me backing up into another vehicle. The imaging appeared to move normally, then I felt a bump, then the imaging "fast-farwarded" to when the other car's logo filled the screen. Fortunately I was going very slowly and there was no damage to either vehicle.
Also +1 to call BS on those acting like the OP is an idiot for trusting a piece of equipment to serve its purpose. I, like the OP and every one of you super drivers, use my eyes to park, but also use the camera to help position when I want to back up within inches to minimize sticking out of my parking space. In 15 years of using backup cameras I've never experienced, or even heard of, lagging imaging before, so I've come to trust their reliability.
The legal disclaimers are just that. They protect Lucid from being legally responsible if damage occurs from relying on the cameras. They are NOT intended to suggest you should EXPECT the cameras to give false information. They are also meant to suggest that info from the cameras should only be PART of the info you use in decision-making (along with info from mirrors, etc.), not that they might give you WRONG information. Let's remember backup cameras are legally required safety equipment in the US, like seatbelts. There's no logic there if the standard is "faulty equipment is ok as long as the user manual tells you it might not work."
Anyway, I hope Lucid gets this fixed VERY soon. False information is more dangerous than no information at all.
P.S. As someone who rarely posts at all, sorry for the long rant, but I found it very disconcerting to go searching for info on this new problem I experienced and find so many blaming a guy for trusting a thing for its literal intended use.
