Sorry if this is redundant and already been answered, but when I try to play audio via Bluetooth whether it’s apple podcasts or Tidal or whatever, I click play and nothing happens. I unpaired my phone, deleted it from Bluetooth and said forget device on my phone then re-paired it with the car (Lucid tech suggested that) and it worked…for one drive. When I drove the car the next time the same problem happened all over again. No Bluetooth audio. Has anybody else had this happen or have any suggestions beyond unpairing/re-pairing?

What phone are you using? When you pair it, is it paired for both media and phone?

IPhone 12, yeah it’s paired for both.

Sometimes, I find that my iPhone, which is set to be paired as media and phone, defaults to only phone by itself when waking up from sleep. In that case, I go to Bluetooth settings and select both (media and phone) and the issue is resolved. What you described has occurred to me and I found this to solve it. It is an annoyance for sure

Thanks! I’ll try that.

I've never had that issue with Android. Is it some security thing with Apple?

I just took delivery of my AGT, played music via my iPhone, then next trip zero music and this is after trying for 20 minutes to remedy the problem. I think the car drives nicely, but everything else is a total over engineered mess. I’ve never spent so much on a car with such disappointment. I retracted the side mirrors to go through a tight corner at my house only to have the mirrors open up as I was driving. Shame on me for being a first adopter, owners in 1-2 years will hopefully be very happy.

It’s interesting people’s expectations and levels of tolerance. I would never fault anyone for being disappointed though, it’s hard reading about all the awesome features then getting the car and it doesn’t do some
of them yet and others aren’t reliable. I’m irritated by the Bluetooth glitches myself, but also Lucid’s team has been so responsive that I’m not that worried and ok with it since they’re obviously going to find a fix. And in the meantime there’s workaround, albeit annoying. For perspective, CarPlay on my Mercedes lease I just turned in would crap out 25% of the time and I’d have to unplug and replug my phone in, and the CarPlay tidal app doesn’t work as well as Lucid’s. And their MBUX voice recognition system for navigation is worse than Lucid’s Alexa for navigation already (but MBUX map looks better, has alternate route choices, and augmented reality). Also my Mercedes went into the shop 4 times in the first 8 months of ownership for repeated airbag system failures. Finally turned into a recall.

For me, one of the biggest worries I had with Lucid was this door opening crap, but it’s been literally flawless 100% of the time for me. I just walk up, it presents the handles. It’s very slightly laggy but I’m not being chased by a bear every time I try to get in so it doesn’t bother me. And the car looks SOOOOO good and drives SOOOO well and is so crazy quick and the charging is awesome and storage is great and the seats/massage/heating/cooling are so good that I guess I just don’t care about the tech glitches that much.

I am definitely not attacking you or anyone else. Massage seats are so so, my seats really do not cool, the tech glitches are well, glitches, but yes, the car is crazy quick and drives great. In closing, I do not think asking a super awesome stereo system to play music is a big ask.

Yeah I totally get it, your expectations are not unreasonable. I think the inconsistency is something they really gotta iron out, and I’m sure they will. I get the impression from all interactions with Lucid employees they very much want everything to work better than it currently does.

Just a quick comment about the seats cooling. The seats aren't cooling rather ventilated and pull air from the footwell. So if you have hot air or non AC air blowing, it won't feel cooler besides just being ventilated.

I understand the disappointment but I have faith that everything you mentioned is most certainly going to get fixed relatively soon. I would be more disappointed if it didn’t drive well, look good or feel good.

I’m going into my order expecting it to be like early Tesla adopters. I actually think it will be fun watching the car improve with each update. Since it doesn’t have Sirius, I’m going to be less patient about CarPlay.

Yes. I’m order for it to actually cool, turn on your foot vents with AC.

One of the reason we need full android auto/Apple airplay integration. Bluetooth pairing is very iffy. It's what I have been dealing with on my old car for years. Good on one phone but not another. Could be perfect for 2 years then the phone gets a BT update and screws up the link permanently. It's the combo of BT versions and the car's BT. For example in a test that I did when my phone no longer paired with the car I was able to pair with other bt devices. It's nearly impossible to fix because even if you can contact some customer support you'll get the classic it's the other device's fault not us. To make it worst sometimes its not the BT but the software (player) you are using. In one test I thought it was my phone not connecting but then I realized YouTube audio from the phone could play through the car. Wth?!

This is a great point, and one Lucid should probably highlight more. The seats "work" differently than most cooling ones which are typically ventilated. I would counter a bit to say that I'm not sure they feel much cooler even with cool air or AC blowing. I'm going to have them checked out, but given the AZ heat, this is probably the one thing, for me, that has been a let down.

maybe....maybe....you just got a hot ass? bwahaha

I was really disappointed when I paid 130k for my last SL550 and found the seats pulled in air from a fan at the back of the seat. So you get in the car during the Summer and the seats circulate the 100 degree air until the AC cools the whole inside of the car. My F250 actually has cold AC pumped into the seats and is great.

If anybody wants to experience phenomenal cooled seats take a ride in the back of the Genesis G90. My wife’s uncle in Korea is one of their execs and they gave him a G90 and we spent a lot of time in the back of that car while we were there. I’d never cared about Korean brands before, but Genesis is honestly a staggeringly good car for the price. For poshness I think the G90 rear seat is better than the Lucid, though for cool sports sedan factor the Lucid wins. Plus I love the sunscreens in the rear of the Lucid.

I have the cooled seats in my Infiniti and honestly, never used it even on the hottest days in Texas. The sensation of a cooled seat on your bum make is akin to having accidentally peed your pants. It is just not pleasant. Warmed seated however is another story all together.

I don't know about you...but peeing my pants feels more like a seat warmer than a cooled seat...
