Occasionally I'll notice that my car will keep connected to my phone even after I leave the car and lock it. I'll notice it when I try to play audio or get a notification on my phone but the phone doesn't make any sound until I disconnect from the car. This most recently happened when I was at home (car parked in attached garage) charging the car so the car stayed on, even though I locked the car through the mobile app. After manually disconnecting from the car on my phone, when I went out of Bluetooth range but returned within range (without entering the car but while the car was still attached to the charger), the car reconnected to Bluetooth and took over my phone's audio output until I manually disconnected it again.

Is this a normal experience other people have had? Any solutions other than manually disconnecting whenever you notice your phone has reconnected? I feel like the software solution to this would be "if car would lock (ie if it would time out after not being accessed), then disconnect from other devices" and it should only reconnect for media after a door is opened and the car turns back on, rather than connected to devices for media just because they are in range. I guess this could be an issue with my phone being overly aggressive connecting to Bluetooth media devices rather than the car, but I haven't noticed that with other Bluetooth devices I use like headphones.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and a 2025 Lucid Air Touring on 2.6.16.

What Android phone app version do you have? Try updating to the latest 2.4.1 version if you haven't already.

Did you try completly removing your phone from your car (forget the device option) then pairing it again?

Complainers... we need the car to open from 20 ft away so there is no delay getting into car.
Techs... ok we will increase the blue tooth signal
Complainers... now my bluetooth connects from 20 ft away. Ahhhhh.

I mean sure except there's Bluetooth for key purposes and Bluetooth for media and they're different devices. Also it's not consistent that the Bluetooth stays connected on leaving the car. Doesn't seem to happen when the car isn't kept on, which really has only happened when it's charging, and which seems more like a bug than intended behavior. I feel like the car should be able to go to sleep while plugged in...or at least turn off most of the features that aren't specifically related to charging the battery.

Any solutions to this ? I'm getting this issue daily since the last 10 days. Annoying

Lucid needs to solve this in the next software update. If the driver door is opened and then closed with no one in the driver's seat, turn off the audio system so it disconnects from the phone Bluetooth. If there is weight in the driver's seat that keeps the airbag on, then don't turn off the audio system.

For now, I just hit the pause button when getting out of the car. Doesn't help if I get a call in the next few seconds, but it stops the audio at the right place.

I usually turn off Bluetooth on the phone upon exiting as a habit, however it pops back on as the car forces a handshake if you use the Mobile Key option AND Media with Bluetooth.
I removed the Bluetooth Mobile Key option as it's super annoying having the car doors open while I'm walking around it my house, so I do not use the Mobile Key "feature".
If you walk away from the car having only the physical FOB key as an option and the doors lock, the media connection of the Bluetooth will disconnect on its own within a few seconds.
You can also force this function if you single-press the FOB key button.
I also auto mute the audio upon exiting because I am not a fan of leaving the car to blaring music constantly going for several seconds.

So... I only use Bluetooth for Media only and it works fine (unless plugged-in overnight, which then requires a soft-reboot because all audio goes mute otherwise permanently)
