Is today the day? Sounds like we're getting close

Nope, completely unrelated. For what it’s worth, the Apple Watch app is not exactly useful anyway. It cannot work as a mobile key there.I noticed the my Pixel watch cannot have the Lucid App (but the Apple Watch can). Do you think when Android Auto comes out, giving advanced functionality to the remaining 72% of the world's population, that the Pixel Watch Mobile device will have the function as well?
I cannot use my handy Pixel watch as a Mobile Key because it requires the Lucid App installed on it.
Ah, I see. Strange that the Bluetooth handshake doesn't work for the watches.Nope, completely unrelated. For what it’s worth, the Apple Watch app is not exactly useful anyway. It cannot work as a mobile key there.

I think you'd prefer a car using AAOS with Google's Application Suite, running native apps like Google Maps/nav, Waze, Youtube Music and Video, Pocketcasts, Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music...Will you be happy if the support is similar to Apple Carplay's currently? That is, having a small rectangle in the cockpit for AA?..
What do others think?
1. Is this even possible with AA? I've only ever seen it in a box on the main screen.A quick poll for those on the thread patiently waiting on AA support:

My answer would be "No". It would be fine, but I can't say I would be excited given how long the wait is.
With the potential of the panel, its size, and the apparent thought put into the UI experience, I want the integration to be fully immersive, with notifications and navigation appearing in front of the driver for example, and the app fully utilizing the UI real estate. If a simple integration like that of Carplay's was the goal, then I already have the option now using all the proposals by other owners currently using external devices that integrates with AA through the Carplay interface. There isn't anything magical or extra. Just ... meh! If anyone in the UX department in Lucid is listening, my request on this front would be: "Do something magical and impactful, rather than tick a box. Please!"

CarPlay got shat on after release for being boxed into the top screen so I’m expecting the same to happen for AA.As it has been stated many times before...
If it means that much to you, buy an aftermarket android auto adapter. You can see exactly what you will be getting so there will be no surprises.
If not, wait for Lucid to initiate. It was been a longer than anticipated road but we are rounding the final bend. It seems premature to speculate on improvements before implementation
SCal_Air has a good point. There are some aftermarket boxes to get that work splendidly. I might spring for one, actually. As it has been stated many times before...

You're right! I can run Waze and an embedded Waze-accepted music streaming service into the Bluetooth Audio of the Lucid's input wirelessly by selecting the Bluetooth audio source just fine. Tidal does not stream as Dolby Atmos, however, but I find Tidal, despite its praises of fidelity in all my cars, including my CT6 Cadillac with the 33-speaker Panaray system to sound a bit.. flat somehow, even EQ'ing it to pull it up. I'm a bit of an audiophile so streaming audio is.. somewhat compressed. I'm a little spoiled I can play DVD-A discs in 5.1 surround in some of my cars with physical optical drives but streaming is "the way of the future" (as Dicaprio says in The Aviator).I'm not trying to be condescending, just trying to improve the unhappiness of those who own the greatest EV on the market...![]()
