I don't think that a lot of people will hold off on getting the car just because it lacks Android Auto

Personally I very likely only buy a car that is on Android Automotive with GAS or at least has Android Auto - otherwise that will be very noticeable regression for me. But I don't know stats and therefore will not speculate with estimates.

(although it might have gone up now that Alexa is gone

My only issue with carlinkit is that for some reason it won't connect many times, and I have to force exit android auto, clear cash, and turn off and on Bluetooth after 30 seconds.

This issue has somehow corrected itself. So it can be ignored now

As the long-awaited release date for Android Auto approaches, may I respectfully suggest that you find a way to have @ec256 be the first person to receive the general release? Nobody has been a more consistent advocate for this feature, and yet has also been nothing but courteous, professional and (I must say) 'patient' in the process. I think it would be fantastic to have @ec256 be the first to wake up to the Android Auto OTA update... ideally on a Thursday morning!

Just as I suggested a while ago! His dedication has been insane, he truly deserves it the most. And if Lucid doesn't release Android Auto on a Thursday, I will be so disappointed!

If that's it's own update, that would be super cool if it gets released on a Thursday to all of the Android users ahead of the iPhone people. But I doubt they can do that.

Happy Android Auto Thursday everyone!!! Hopefully 2.5.X will bring the highly anticipated AA integration. Most likely due to recent 2.4.X issues the AA got pushed a little. I have a feeling we don't have to wait much longer. I am guessing another 6-8 ec256 posts.
