The mobile app team and the car's software team are not the same people.

Also, that "upgraded app" fixed things that were broken on iOS and not Android.

Having said that, yes. Please. Android Auto. I really want Lucid to do this for you all. I'm hoping at least on the new Gravity "3.0" UX that Android Auto is planned, and that it will make its way to Air as soon as possible.

I also read (but I have no idea how accurate this is) that iPhone owners are holding on to their phones longer than Android peeps, which might skew the results.

1.5 years into Air ownership with no AA makes me think that Gravity will get AA later this year, due to newer electronics, and Air owners continue this thread in perpetuity...
