Good to know about the tint suggestions. I'm not really wanting to tint but if it came down to it I would. I also like the idea of pre-cooling. I will probably go for the glass canopy. It really does add to the uniqueness of the car.
Where did you have yours done? I believe his tint contractor is Chino Window TintAlso done in one piece here. Received car in early August when DFW was having 100 degree days. It was too hot in the car, and after the heat protection film on the canopy and windshield it was a world of difference.
I agree with your approach, don’t proceed with heat protection film until you feel the heat.
I did HuperOptik for the entire car. Agree with the above post that if you do the windshield as 2 pieces you get a line. I hid the line in the visor area, so not noticeable unless you are looking for it. I wanted as dark as possible for the roof, and legal limit for windshield (30%) is a lot less. I did that (30%) for the windshield, windows and rear window, as dark as possible for the roof. Personally, I found without the tinting of the roof it was miserable, but it is your personal desire for glare, light and heat that will decide it for you. With it the car is much more comfortable for me. It was $1500 for the entire car, using i3 (HuperOptik's top of the line brand) here in DFW.
Mao AFS owner shared me couple of Lucid commercial video using your car. You could claim royaltyI just saw this. That is my car they put on their commercial!
My kid goes to UTD, I’m looking forward for Plano retail space. Last couple times I didn’t find it at Legacy Center was disappointment.I spoke to my sales advisor today and upgraded to a Touring from a Pure. During the conversation I inquired about the Plano location and was told they expect it to open sometime next month. I'll be glad when it opens so I can finally get a look at the interior of a Lucid! I've seen a DE driving around the Park Cities a few times but thats it.
I have done with PPF and got good experience. Prime XR plus recommended for Windshield and Roof also Tinting is so light (70) that all are visible during night also. Advantage it blocks UVA and UVB and Super Heat rejection. but no difference in visibility and looks clear.I see roof is pretty good and it is also tinted by factory. I'd like to enjoy great view of nature therefore not decided to do over tint, You can do it later if needed cost about 300$ -600$
Like screen protector for iPhone? A clear film? Please also note I have added screen protector to the screen in the dash from the PPF shop
A clear film not like glass protector we put it in iPhone. Looks like It is same material they use for PPF.Like screen protector for iPhone? A clear film?
