Just wondering @borski... If an OTA update was downloaded to the vehicle but never installed, will it show up on this list? If yes, will there be anything indicating that it is available but not installed? (I've never passed on an OTA update, but it seems that others have.)

You cannot pass on an OTA update. I don't know if it shows up before or after it's installed, but you can't "skip" an update in any case.

I think you are saying that you can't stop an update from being downloaded to your vehicle, but that you can choose not to install it. At least that is my understanding. So, my question is, if it's downloaded to the vehicle but not installed, will it show up on this list?

As of May 4, 2026, Lucid Air software 2.9.0 appears to have started rolling out on April 27, 2026, but Lucid’s OTA updates are staged in batches, so not every car gets it immediately. One owner-maintained OTA tracker says rollouts can take several weeks, and if it has been longer than that you may need to contact Lucid Customer Care to ask whether they can push it to your vehicle.


Where do you get it?


You do not download it manually from a website. You get it as an over-the-air vehicle update:

1. In the car, when the update notification appears.

3. Lucid’s official OTA process is that owners receive a notification in the car and in the mobile app, then can install immediately or schedule it.

This is exactly the mindset that enables the problem.

“Bigger fish to fry” doesn’t excuse repeatedly missing commitments, it defines the issue. You can’t market features, price them into a $100K+ vehicle, miss every timeline, and then pivot to “well, priorities changed” like that’s acceptable. That’s not strategy, it’s just poor execution.

Defending it with “the EV climate” or “resources” just lowers the bar even further. Every automaker is dealing with the same environment, yet not all of them are overpromising and then quietly moving the goalposts when it’s time to deliver.

Scrutiny isn’t being “hung up on it”, it’s holding a premium brand accountable. If owners just shrug and say “oh well, bigger fish,” then why would the company ever tighten up timelines or communication? There’s zero incentive to improve when missed commitments are constantly excused.

At this price point, you don’t get the benefit of the doubt, you earn trust by delivering. Right now, Lucid has a really bad pattern of overpromise and underdeliver, and pretending that’s fine doesn’t help the company or its customers.

So you think a great plan is to put resources into V2H because they promised it and ignore basic software functions…

Price point? Vehicles start at 70k, average vehicle price in is 50k. You are getting a great deal even without V2H

2.9.0 is no longer on lucidtracker.app. It is still listed on lucidupdates.com, however.

The release notes of the Lucid iPhone app v2.15.0 in the Apple App Store do mention 2.9.0.

Is a puzzlement. The only thing I can think is that they did release 2.9.0 and then pulled it before it got much distribution.

Something weird is happening regarding 2.9.0. Yesterday, LucidTracker showed only one or two deployments of 2.9.0. Today, any trace of 2.9.0 has disappeared from LucidTracker. Also, LucidUpdates site appears to be totally down today.
