Took a vacation to South Lake Tahoe this week. Charged my beautiful car for the drive home and was blessed with 6.4 mi/KWh for 2.5 hours of my drive home. Was able to make the 5+ hour drive home without having to stop and charge. The weather conditions were perfect and 1.5 hours were downhill mostly. Man... I love this car. I was treated like a movie star based only on what I was driving!!!!

You were probably higher efficiency than that as it is a capped number.

Mostly downhill is obviously the key 😛

Did you charge at the EA at the bank? Did it work?

I had 4.5 mi/kWh over about 100 miles on a mostly downhill drive from Frisco, CO up to Leadville and back to 30 miles north of Denver. 6.5 is amazing. In the past week or so my efficiency on my usual drives with little elevation change has averaged 4 or so which compares to only about 3 for the past few months. I wish I knew what accounts for the difference because I have not changed my driving habits. With the new much lower price and if we can start to see efficiency reliably above 3.5 mi/kWh Lucdid should see improved market penetration.

Have there been changes in your weather during the period of increased efficiency?

I made a 420-mile roundtrip (NH to ME, AGT, 19") and ended up with 4.2 mi/kWh. I drove for six-plus hours before charging at an EA in Scarborough at mile #365 on the way home and got 147 max rate on a 150 station, so not too bad. It was mainly backroads out and highways back, some drizzle, temps in the mid-70s. The drive was for the ride and not the speed to the destination. NAV estimate for charging % upon arrival was spot on, it routed me around a highway accident stoppage, and the entertainment worked well and I just switched over to USB media when I hit dead spots.

My actual number for the past 1,500 miles has been a pretty steady 4.2 mi/kWh.

I've had some great mileage for the past 3,500 miles. Actually, I think the software glitched the last time I reset Trip B.

6.2 miles = 10 km

Software capped at 9.99 or 10 km scientific decimal accuracy.

Yeah, it does that fairly often for me. I've learned to try to hit reset just before driving rather than after parking. It seems to do better that way, but maybe it's just luck 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes. I believe it was a BofA. Walked across the street to Heidi's for breakfast, the got on the road. Amazing time and experience in this dream machine!!!!

Apologies for reviving this old thread... Scoop, do you recall what efficiency you got for the trip up to Lake Tahoe? I'm driving Berkeley to SLT tonight and wondering how many times I will have to charge...

From the south bay to SLT, I only charged after arrival at SLT. Had plenty of range left in my GT.

If my memory serves me correctly, I was at 3.4 for the trip up when I landed at the casino.
