It is screen accessible. Feature is called “Current Limiter.”Thanks, I looked everywhere in the app. Will check the screen when I plug in.

I would imagine that major interstates in CA are supported such as I5 and I805 in San Diego. It is not that I went into roads that weren’t supported. Same road… hands free, then it switches off, mile later it comes back on, rinse repeat. Just buggy in my one experience. I’ll tell you more after this weekend trip to the Bay Area. It's a given that hands free will work only in areas where it's supported. There have been a number of reports of it working for many miles, but I expect that there will be some locations less amenable that don't comply with the requirements for it to be available.
Thanks for the feedback, and it would be helpful to know what triggered it to go to "not hands free" when it happened. Since it's not self driving, we all expect it not to work in some areas. Now it's a matter of finding out which ones.
At home the Lucid charger will pull at 80 amps. I would prefer, most of the time, to pull less so that the 80 amp draw does not drain my Powerwall batteries that are for home backup, not charging the car. By pulling, say 50 amps, I can pull from the grid and not the battery.I have a basic question. Can someone enlighten me as to how custom power limits are useful? I always charge at home with the Lucid charger so I don’t know how this may matter in public chargers.
Don’t think that is it, but possible. My steering wheel is already pretty low to prevent face recognition problems eons ago. But. I’ll try that. Guess in hands free you don’t really need to see anything on the dashboard. lolLower your steering wheel. The camera cannot see your face consistently.
I can confirm that HF activates on the 91, 55, 15, 5, and 405 in SoCal. So far I’m impressed. It did disengage in a patch where lane markers were not well demarcated but I expected it. The lane change in moderate traffic was also smooth.I would imagine that major interstates in CA are supported such as I5 and I805 in San Diego. Worked like a charm on the 405 in LA in stop & go traffic yesterday. I'm going to be driving to SD from LA this weekend on I-5 and expect it to work the entire route. Great feature for those of us that have to deal with traffic in our routes.I can confirm that HF activates on the 91, 55, 15, 5, and 405 in SoCal. So far I’m impressed. Man I shoulda just kept my mouth shut . I got a software update failure, and a 0% failure.I don't know why; but I am kinda envious that you guys are waiting so Fervently for your 2.8.0 update.
While here, I am driving a random Loaner from Enterprise lol.
So much for that…just got the blinking red light…I think what’s turning out to be my favorite feature of this update is the ability to set the amps on a charge. As I’ve posted in multiple threads previously, the summer months down here have been brutal and my Tesla GEN three wall charger has been throttling down my speeds due to I believe the temperature in my garage. I was getting that red blinking light at the top of the line of green lights as I would charge. but now with the update, I’ve automatically lowered the amps down to 32 for overnight charging which gets me about 7 kW but importantly, I’m not getting any overheating indicator on the charger an hour plus into the charge. So yes, it’s a slightly slower charge, but at least it’s in a more controlled state now.
Borski might be right and it might be a little buggy. I drove 45 minutes on Interstate 15 and couldn't get it to work. Then, on the return trip I briefly got a message that hands free couldn't work because it couldn't fully see my face. Despite adjusting the wheel, my seat and turning drive assist off and on it still never worked and I never received the warning again.Don’t think that is it, but possible. Just an FYI that if you upgrade software to 2.8.0 before the CCC v2 upgrade, the upgrade to CPU can’t be done. Mobile service tried to do the CCC v2 upgrade but failed and he had had to reinstall the original CCC. He got back to me that this is now a bug that will need to be fixed maybe by another software upgrade. Bottom line don’t upgrade to 2.8.0 until after you get the CCC v2 upgrade.
