2025 Lucid Air (Touring)
Hi All,

So I am having my first issue with the Lucid Air. Its Touring model.

Its seems when I put it into park I get an error message: "Drive System Warning, Contact Customer Care"

So I did call Lucid. At first they asked me to reboot the software which I did. Unfortunately the error still happens. They are going to come and pick it up to take it to their repair center (King of Prussia). The car still seems to drive just fine, so not sure if it is a software issue or a hardware issue. Has anyone else gotten this warning? If so, how long did it take to fix?

I can only speak for my experience with "drive system warning" which happened a few days after I took possession of my 2025 Touring. It also drove fine and the warning would sometimes go away, but usually return in short order. It was determined to be the coolant pump for the front motor. I think others have reported similar, and for at least one, I believe it was the battery pack.

Took a bit over a week for them to fix it for me (couple of days to get the parts and then the actual repair). At the time, my service center (Millbrae CA) was extremely busy, so that seemed reasonable to me.

Seems like a pretty generic warning, did Lucid give you any details on what is actually wrong? Repair time will be completely dependent on that. I will say KoP has been excellent in my experience.

This is exactly what happened to me after downloading 2.6.16. Mostly happens when I put it in “Park”, but happens at other times. Marqie from Lucid here on the forum helped diagnose the problem by relaying my VIN and timestamp to Lucid for remote diagnosis. THANK YOU MARQIE!! The problem with mine is a COOLANT VALVE FAULT. Waiting for my Service Center to call.

Appreciate the info guys. They are picking up the car tomorrow morning so I guess I will find out some time after that. I'll post what it is once I find out. If it is the coolant valve issue that woudl be interesting that it is happening so frequently.

Unfortunately not.

I will say the customer service does seem on top of things. I only called them once yesterday. I tried the reset process yesterday evening but they called me back this morning before I even had a chance to call them.

So just an update for anyone curious, they said it is the coolant pump for the front drive unit. They are hoping to have it completed today and returned back to me tomorrow.

That’s some responsive service!

Curious whether your first calls were with national CS, or direct to your local KoP service center?

That's what I had replaced as well. This was about a month prior to the 2.6.16 update. In my case there was nothing indicating any problem in the car, no warning messages. Lucid called me out of the blue one morning and said they needed to take the car in. Sounds like the 2.6.16 update is unearthing some pre-existing problem with the coolant pump. KoP had my car back to me the same day, hopefully your experience is as smooth.

I assume my first call was to a national number, I just called the number on their website.

I realize now the call back was from someone specifically at KoP. I didn't realize it at the time but the same person has been dealing with me since then and their e-mail says they work at KoP.

Only issue was with the rental. The first rental I got (a Nissan Altima) had an issue with the brakes about 5 miles away when leaving the rental location. I took it back and they gave me a Chevy Malibu instead. Obviously niether car is as nice as a Lucid Air but the Malibu was comfortable to drive at least, even if it isn't as sporty as the Lucid.

I did get my Air back this morning. So far so good!

Lame! Enterprise hooked me up with a Land Rover 😎

Mine led to a rear motor replacement.

My coolant pump for the front drive unit was replaced last week too. The harness to the rear unit was also replaced for being too short.

No errors visible to me or any driving issues, but lucid called me based on a remote fault diagnosis. Car was in service for 2 wks, unfortunately my local enterprise doesn't stock luxury rentals, so I got a random GMC midsize which made me really appreciate my lucid AT when I finally got it back after 2wks in this GMC lol

I appreciate the service center being proactive with this repair.
