Lucid to Start US Customer Deliveries of Gravity SUV by ‘End of April’

"Marc Winterhoff, the interim CEO of the EV maker Lucid Motors, announced late Thursday the company will start customer deliveries in the U.S. of its Gravity model “by the end of April.”

I spoke with the people involved and he did say that out loud, but it also sounded like if it actually were to happen they have a lot more orders than capacity.

So…don’t get your hopes up too high.
 
if you ordered day 1 they were a little more confident on you getting the car soon but yeah, if you left it until recently sounds like you could be waiting a bit.

Amazing event, and I agree with @HC_79 .

Beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait till they get them in the showroom across the nation soon so you all can experience what we did. If you’re in NY make the trip to the Lucid Studio in the Meatpacking district. It won’t disappoint, and you can book a ride along.
 
FWIW, this announcement is in-line with what the original deliveries were told in December (from what I’ve been told), but no date was actually advertised due to allowing for things to go wrong. Sounds like they’ve solidified the timeline a bit more, and April is on the way.

Silly me thinks @borski has a Gravity, but he is not ready to disclose yet 😎
 
Just read an article saying that the 3rd row is still being safety tested. While end of April is still accurate, the true ramp up won't happen until July. The forum won't allow me to post the link.

That site is not trustworthy and Nick Twork (Head of Communication for Lucid) has debunked it.

It all depends on the federal definition of a safety issue. I personally experienced the 2nd row not moving all the way forward on an NYC vehicle, is that a safety issue? My wife couldn’t get in so I assume she would also have an issue getting out.

Motor on another was very loud, it worked but it wasn’t that loud on other vehicles.

It’s not nothing.
