Gravity Seating Configuration

Hi all, If so many people (percentage-wise) prefer the 6 seat config, why doesn't Lucid offer it? I posed that very question to a sales rep who called me today asking if I'd be interested in a Gravity DE. I said I would if it offered the 6 seat captains chairs. He must have been new because he seemed confused, saying that's not an option. We only have 5 and 7 seat options.

I told him that almost all SUVs in this space offer 5,6,and 7 seat options.

I've told that now to almost every Lucid rep who calls me.

I am waiting on 2 things:
1. 6 seat captains chairs
2. Air trade in

You might be waiting a long time. Others are more knowledgeable and more in the loop on rumor mill around 6 seat configurations, but they have not announced a 6-seat config, the rumor mill is mostly that it is dead for now, and the 5- and 7-seat configurations they HAVE announced are, well, still not yet being delivered!

I empathize, as I would have loved a 6-seat configuration myself. But your SA is not wrong - it's not currently an option.

I know it’s not an option. As much as I like the Gravity, I’ll keep my AGT, till it’s available. I am starting to be concerned about Lucid. I’m a stockholder and I want them to succeed. This total lack of clarity or info as to when Gravity will be really delivered is not a good look. I don’t count the fake delivery of those 9 units last year to friends and employees.

Also no Air trade in. These are all very concerning.

The last time I heard any authoritative mention of 6-passenger seating was when Eric Bach, Chief Engineer, was asked about it in a video interview many months ago. He indicated that it was not certain that it would be offered at any point.

My suspicion has been that the sticking point is getting captains chairs to fold into a flat cargo floor or making them easy enough to remove. If that is the issue, my personal view is that they should offer a buyer the choice of forgoing a flat cargo floor to get captains chairs. I don't plan to use our Gravity as a delivery truck or a camper, and I would give up a cargo floor in an instant to get captains chairs.

Oh well.
As much as I would like a Gravity, I won't order one without a 6-seat configuration. I believe there are many potential customers in the same boat. Most if not all of Gravities competitors have 6-seat options. Although I haven't checked every make.
