My version of venting to Lucid Software Team on Audio Issues

i think i can reproduce the losing audio like this:
1. have something play via carplay
2. leave the fob inside the car so it never locks the car
3. leave the car with your phone and walk till you lose your carplay

now when you come back to the car, it never connects and loses all audio. this was last year when i was using a fob (and no mobile key). nowadays i use mobile key so i don't run into this situation. also, i'm not sure if they fixed this issue but this was a regular occurrence last year during my road trip.

Interesting I always use a fob but always carry my key fob with me. I use my mobile car key as a backup. Can you repeat the above with a mobile key linked ?

The only audio issue I has is on the apple carplay side and happens on both my vehicles. I have a weird habit of answering calls and switching from car audio to phone ear speaker. Once the call ends there’s a decent chance that all my audio for CarPlay goes through my phone instead of the car speakers but again this is a CarPlay issue from what I gather.
Change the source from iPhone

It is a feature in the iPhone … pull the menu from the right and usually you see the iPhone music player , click on the upper right corner to change the source

mobile key would lock the car and properly disconnects the carplay so it works fine.

Logging outage: 6:45am Gilbert AZ, I was thinking wow my car is so quiet then noticed Spotify was playing but no sound, tune in had no sound, direct fm tune no sound. Per my routing I opened and closed my car couple times trunk included to load my tennis bag and then noticed while driving it’s offline. It’s still offline if lucid team can check it out now.

This outage recovered by me locking my car and going and playing tennis for 1.5 hours then when I came back to car audio worked again. So this particular incident did not require restart just a lock and leave alone

I have 34,000 miles on my car. I have never once had to pull over to restart my audio

Do you use Spotify? I use Spotify (most of the time) and have seen this missing audio issue multiple times too.....

It happened near 2nd time this week around 8:40am

Just curious if you notice this issue when you cars mobile connection strength drops very low?
For me, I'm wondering if this happens when the signal strength drops too low and then doesn't recover.

I have had to reset a number to times as well.....

Oh that’s a good point yes I think that much be a trigger I have a couple dead zones as I exit my neighborhood

It sounds like Lucid Audio team will be doing Q&A I might miss it so If anyone able to talk about mobile signal audio going missing sure :) @Bobby and co

Also curious if Bobby might be using the radio -- and thus never see this issue?

The loss of audio happened again on Friday (listening to Spotify). I was able to switch to 'radio'.

I did try direct tune FM when this happened yesterday and that also doesn’t work for me but maybe I chose stations that weren’t online I will keep this in mind

I do all of my audio through CarPlay.

The intermittent audio functionality has persisted despite multiple software updates, requiring frequent system restarts by holding the Air logo for 20 seconds.
I actually have this audio issue too. only fix is reset, not do able while in motion. it is not a phone thing. changing to other car audio source such as Bluetooth, "CarPlay", "radio", "Spotify", or other music source still has no sound or incredibly distorted sound

had the car for almost a year. had this problem 4-5 times.

sometimes I intentionally drive without music though so dont care enough about it to, but hoping this will help blueice89

I just hit three years on my DE last month. Please don’t exaggerate.

That said, what audio interruptions? This is not a useful email for feedback, as it is far too general. It doesn’t specify what issues you’re having, any timestamps, any way to reproduce the issue, or anything else that could help identify the issue, much less track it down.

Lucid can do basically nothing with this email.

I highly recommend providing more data and information so engineering can track it down, and rather than making declarations or demands, perhaps consider helping them investigate the issues from a position of working *with* them to resolve the problem that evidently *you* seem to have, because you’ll always win more friends (and solutions!) through collaboration than admonishment.

My $.02.
Let me help him. When I start the car, the audio is sporadic in whether it turns on and plays. I’ll drive some where with no media, leave the car, and when I get back the audio is working again. If I go to favorites, play fm radio for a short while then come back, the sound comes on. I am using native TuneIn, not thru Carplay. Then there is the annoying “no media” selected

Hopefully this thread is getting Lucid audio team attention clearly some of us have had these issues more than 1 of us

I didn't read any of the posts in this thread I just clicked on the first new post on topic.

Last night (I've been without my car for 7 months ... different story) I did a "listening session".

Have read that updates (was on 2.30 when car went in shop) modified audio so went back to Tidal ATMOS on Dolby Pro tracks I know.

Was not as good as I remembered.... fooled around with balance some and noticed a remarkable change ... finally ended on "soul" tracks and Al Green "Stay Together" came on.

This AM on the way to Philadelphia Friends Meeting, on the Schuylkill Expressway, (AKA "Sure-Kill" ) I had the wife find the "soul" tracks. We juked and jibed to the classics: "September"; "R-E-S-P-C-T ".... "I'm A SOUL MAN" ... not caring who saw us...then she found Al Green.

We are driving down the Schuylkill at 65 mph listening to songs I've heard a thousand times, as if for the first time.

God bless the audio engineers who made this moment possible.
