I live in Michigan and I’m thinking of buying a lucid grand touring. However, I’m worried about service and support. The closest service center is Coldwater Michigan and that’s about 2 hours away. Can anyone help me understand the support experience? What if I’m involved in a collision? Who can repair?

Thanks!

While I do not live there, it wouldn't hurt to give them a call to see what they say regarding bodywork, mobile service, loaners, etc.

Definitely call and ask any and all questions you have. I live in Austin and the nearest service center is in Houston (2.5 hours away). Any service I've needed has been handled by mobile service (who are great, btw). Lucid also has an arrangement with a body shop in town to the extent it's ever needed (thankfully haven't yet on my end).

You're asking all the right questions that many of us that don't live near a service center also asked. Good luck with your purchase and feel free to use my referral code to the extent you want it!

Michigan service is great, I use them out of Cleveland OH. Lucid has some collision centers authorized for repairs from accidents.

Although I do not live in Michigan, I am 10 hours from the closest service station ( Seattle ). Mobile service has been stellar in my area .
Most people on the forums seem to have good experience with mobile service .
I think you can be at peace with getting the car because Lucid will take care of you.
Enjoy your new ride!!!

Thanks for the response Bob. I really like Lucid cars and I’m seriously considering one!

Hi Stratus, should I be concerned about their financials? I’m worried about spending 80k and they go bankrupt. They have great backing from the Saudi’s but who knows when they might turn off the cash flow?

I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the mobile service has been great. Once they came out to my home to cover some post-delivery items and worked from my driveway. Once they came down and traded my touring for a loaner grand touring, swapping back a week later. Never a hassle and comes back beautifully detailed.

I think many of us have a concern, whether we openly admit it to it or not. That being said, the Saudi backing certainly seems to give that extra level of long term security.
I will say unequivocally that the car is just so outstanding and fun to drive, that it almost seems too good to fail. I put my worries aside and just went for it and I would wholeheartedly recommend that to anyone pondering a lease of purchase. I really do not think you will regret it. Good luck!
