Windshield Glare

This was a top five reason why I couldn’t go forward with the Air. It bothered me right away during my test drive.
That's unfortunate. By (at latest) the 48th hour, you genuinely stop noticing.

Again apologies to everyone for bringing this up. I feel like I stepped on so many toes. I wasn't aware this was already discussed so many times.
Haha, don't worry about it - you didn't step on any toes; we just are all mildly annoyed by it and it's one of those things that your brain magically learns to ignore over time, but then when someone brings it up you can't unsee it for a couple days, haha.

Oddly, I just now realized that the line the op was referring to is not the same reflection that I had been referencing or discussing in previous posts and threads. Maybe it's a height issue, but I was referring to the reflection of the stitching and hadn't even noticed the other one until I looked for it today lol. Now there's 2 reasons to wear my polarized specs.

LOL. That too will come up in a week or so with a new owner. Yes, polarized sunglasses help you forget about them faster. I rarely drive in the bright days without my sunglasses so I forget about them after a couple days.

I hate every time this comes up because for like 24 hours I see the reflection again and then it goes away. But I wish I could filter this issue out of this forum forever, lol
Boggles my mind that this has been an issue since 2021. I was close to buying an Air GT, test drove it today and discovered the reflection. How can I pay $140k for a car and be annoyed every time I see that reflection not so much for it’s existence as for the stupidity of adding cost to the car that perpetuates a negative detail.

So you came here to tell us this with your first post? Have you looked at a Camry?

It goes away after a week. Until someone posts about it here, when it comes back for 24 hours and then goes away again.

It's fine.

It's weird... there are two posts from members who joined "the Lucid owners forum" just to let us know that they didn't buy a Lucid due to the glare from the dash...
Must be something that really bothers some people! 😅

Yeah, assuming he’s legit. ;)

The thought did cross my mind but I couldn’t find any vendor for Lucid.
I thought about using felt strip to cover the orange stitching when I bought the car over a year ago. It really bothered me the first month or so but I barely notice it now. When it does show up during sunny days, I just put on my polarized sunglasses and they are gone.

Good news is that the Gravity has the stitching the same color as the leather on the dashboard to avoid this problem.

My hope was that someone in a postion to do something about it might note that folks seem to think it’s not a positive addition to an otherwise fine car. Funny you should mention Camrys, becasuse I was driving a rental that happened to be a Camry when your comments were posted. The Camry didn’t have any detail work on the dash that reflected on the windshield.
