    Turtle of Doom!

People think I am being unfair to Lucid. However, I am simply expecting a reliable car. I see both sides of this issue. I found this video to be interesting and informative.

    Turtle of Doom!

I hope you are joking. I guess I don't think I should have to buy a backup vehicle simply because I purchased a Lucid Air. Further, what good does a second vehicle do me if the Lucid Air fails on the road?

    Turtle of Doom!

Here is the thing. I just retired. And the Lucid Air is now my only car. I allowed that to happen because I naturally though the Lucid Air would at least be dependable to drive while the supposedly minor software kinks were addressed. One of the things I wanted to do in my retirement is go...

    Turtle of Doom!

We need to start making excuses for Lucid. Cars don't just fail this way.

    Turtle of Doom!

All this talk about other EV's having problems is just rationalizing. Saying "other cars can have issues too" does not excuse this. These cars should not be failing, and what concerns me the most is that Lucid is not being transparent or proactive on the issue. There should be a recall...

And you think we have problems.

I only want everything to work properly. I also become concerned when we cut Lucid too much slack. I just don't see any reason for hyping all the strong things Lucid offers while ignoring the weak things. Personally, I hope Lucid, Tesla, VW, etc, all do well.

And you think we have problems.

We all know that Lucid has some significant software issues. Here is a YouTube article that perhaps puts these issues in perspective: A quote from the author: "I was one of the original VW ID.4 fan boys and was one of the first VW ID.4 owners in the US, however after a year and a half the car...

I am annoyed. Here is what Lucid needs to do.

Did Lucid give you any idea as to what the problem was?

I would like to think they can fix this 12Volt issue without a recall. But that is an example of what I am referring to. I don't know what the issue is (hardware or software). If it is software they could OTA it.

As a former Apple developer myself, I believe this. Apple is crazy about two things - the ease, use, and the intuitiveness of the user interface, and the security of the user's personal information and data.

Thank you for the reply. And I understand what you are saying and even agree that it may not be the fault of Lucid. I just want Lucid to admit that publicly and simply say "we are working on it." I don't feel it is too much ask a company that took this much money from us to be honest with us...

I am annoyed. Here is what Lucid needs to do.

I hope you are right. And I hope I am not giving the impression that I dislike the car. Actually, the opposite is true. I love the car, and I really want to take it on some long road trips. I just wish I knew what to expect. I want to know that the car is reliable. I don't want to be in...

I am annoyed. Here is what Lucid needs to do.

I am sensitive to the Android people, and I am certainly not suggesting "that the Android Redheaded Stepchildren should be punished." The Android people have every right to an upgrade as well. I only mentioned CarPlay because that is what I am familiar with, and consequently that is what...

I am annoyed. Here is what Lucid needs to do.

    1) Be honest about their cars. Apparently they have a 12 Volt issue that is leaving some owners stranded, with the cars needing to be towed. They need to be honest and say something like "yes, we have an issue with the 12 volt batteries not charging. We are aware of the issue and we are...

    OTA 1.2.20

This happened to me as well. I updated to 1.2.20, and then an hour later it "de"updated to 1.2.19. Sometimes I get the impression that Lucid has one programmer, and he only works part time. I am currently on 1.2.19.
