SiriusXM Megathread

Ok, tried this again and now SiriusXM reset and is working BUT, I have lost ALL audio. No SiriusXM, no FM radio, no turn signals, etc.

Will let the car get a good night's sleep and try again tomorrow. the latest
Glad for SiriusXM but not glad about all these audio bugs.

See??? All this just for the Sirius XM whiners!

(kidding! kidding!)
I’m surprised that they haven’t issued an update yet. I think because this is so reproducible, they would fix it right away.

Playing Jeopardy and “guess the number” with Alexa is getting old now…
I tried to use Alexa for the first time today. I asked her to play 20 questions. She told me how to play and then asked me the first question about the animal she told me to think of. She said “is it small?” I said “no.” And then, complete silence. Does that mean I won?

She has a new gig. She can now act as Bob Barker to play Price Is Right with you and if you lucky, you might even get to play virtual Plinko.

“Come on down, you are the next contestant!”

Why doesn't LUCID "test" new software in "real world" situations long enough to encounter the inevitable bugs and work on corrections BEFORE sending us an OTA? I have lost all audio, have had XM audio that couldn't be turned off and had dual sources simultaneously. I have decided to avoid using Sirius at all and stick to all the other choices ...FM, Spotify, TIDAL, Tunein.

For those of you who are SIRIUS subscribers, set up your favorites in the Sirius/XM App on your phone and then just use Bluetooth to access your phone and you can easily listen to any Sirius station

Maybe their test cars are like mine? My SiriusXM works fine and my Alexa is not broken. All my audio stuff still works also. 🤷‍♂️

They clearly indicated that the software is beta. By using it you are testing it. If you want to wait until final release, simply use a different audio source for now.

I blame Google. Ever since they started labeling customer software “beta” with gmail back in the day, the public has gotten a completely warped perception of what a beta actually is.

Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem as well? My SiriusXm worked fine the first couple of days but ceased to worked after that. It keeps on saying it has no connectivity. However, I have five bars.

It’s currently Beta version. Switch to guest profile and return back for the fix.

Some hack mentioned elsewhere in the forum code name “Bobby Reset”. If you have audio lag issue, go to AM/FM first then come back; if it still doesn’t solve it, try “Bobby Reset” to switch back and forth profile flush out data.

“Bobby Reset” only temporary. My SiriusXM crapped out again last night. I am not going to perform a reset every time I get in the car.

The reset lasted one drive. I am waiting for the update before trying again.

Does it do better when you are on Wi-Fi? It seems to do very well for me sitting in the garage. One on LTE it’s more iffy. I wish the car would let me use my own phone as the cellular source because we have good 5G Ultrawide here. I suspect LTE maybe the issue due to how much data the car wants.

Nope. I did the reset in my garage (on WiFi), drove to pick up the dry cleaning and it worked fine. I drove to dinner a few hours later yesterday and it did not work at all, had to switch to Tidal before even backing out of the garage.

It’s a failed Beta attempt in my view.

Dang. I imagine we’re going to get some insight into the beta process behind the scenes by seeing how fast and well the updates follow. Fingers crossed!

Well, I might be too harsh as I am not sure, philosophically, that there is such thing as a “failed Beta”. They definitely should be learning something from it for their next update. Whatever it is, “SiriusXM” is just a non-functional logo on my screen. I will try it agin after the next update.
