Don’t leave your car L2 charger plugged in for extended period of time.

After after it was running, I saw new light TPMS error first time. I’m not sure if this error triggered the drain while connecting to cellular or WiFi. Perhaps simply l I was away too long, temperature drop causing these summer tires to deflate.

Ha wow your tire pressures are way too low, or else your sensor is busted. Glad they fixed your car and it was an easy fix!

I was surprised to see all 4 tires dropped that low. All day driving on Saturday it didn’t give me any TPMS error. Anyway, I pumped them back up to 42 psi. I’m just happy it was quick jump fix, I was mentally prepared worst to be towed.

Funny, I just bought our 2nd EV on the day when this happened. We got Polestar 2 because no other new EV can be driven out from any Houston dealership. I had order that car 4 weeks ago for Austin Texas pick up in Christmas delivery. Then we passed by freeway and saw Volvo dealership has extra new ones in parking lot, and one of them has the specs I ordered. So we just saved 3 months of waiting. My wife said, we got Polestar2 and got AGT jealous, so she quit responding to me as silent treatment.

You are much more yellow in real life than I expected. 😎

That’s not me, that’s my son. 😂 He wanted to paint the car with Japanese anime, my wife said “hell no!” 🤣

I just showed 1.2.19 is available to download. I was happy to go to garage to download this morning. Appearing, the 12V went dead again, cannot get into car to open door. Another SC scheduling again, something in my system didn’t like OTA or something. I didn’t plug in my charger this time… mmmm….

Damn. Did you try to install the update anyway? I’m wondering if 12v has enough juice to wake up CPU to do update which would then goose the HV battery into keeping the 12v charged. Do all your doors, frunk, trunk look perfectly closed? There must be something on your car draining the 12v.

Maybe headlight wasn’t turned off? Something was constantly on? Anyway, I think this 1.2.185 is the culprit. I need to get off that version ASAP.

Also, I only did quick circling around the neighborhood.m, then I had to fill up tires bc TPMS warning. Maybe I didn’t drive enough yesterday to juice up 12V?

When it didn’t respond, I wouldn’t dare to install anyway just to be cautious.

I’m sure doors are closed, but fan and headlight was on before I left garage yesterday as I recall.

Yeah, I suspected it had nothing to do with leaving it plugged in, since nobody else had had issues with that.

I hope they figure out what’s draining it. In my ICE car, my fastrak fell one time from the windshield and hit the hazard lights (right underneath it) while at an airport and died while I was away, heh

I think you are on to something. They are going to tow to check it out.

I don’t think that would be it. For an EV there is no reason it would be limited to replenishing the LV battery only while driving.

DA started the car by jumping 12V. He said the 12V was fine, it is that the LV cannot trigger signal to start system so car won’t respond to all methods of opening. He said it looks like it is related to new OTA software update. He drove away to SC and said will update new OTA from there and hopefully get her back to me soon.

So is it safe to leave it plugged in then?

I'm going to be on vacation and was wondering if I should leave it plugged in for a week.

The Mobile advisor for Dallas area told me the car was designed to be plugged in when in the garage. That would keep the 12V charged.

Another owner here was quoted as saying they left their Car unplugged for 3 weeks while away and had no issues.

Not sure why some have the 12V discharge issue and others have no issues.

Thanks, Customer Care also says that it should be fine to leave plugged in

I store my car in a temperature controlled garage in the winter (Northern Michigan). I fully charged it and, after unplugging it, it has been sitting for about three weeks now. Thus far, my range has dropped 20 miles. At this rate, I’m anticipating that I can go a couple of months before charging it. I do check on it every so often, as this is my first winter with it, but by leaving it unplugged I’m able to run OTA’s at any time they’re available.

My AGT is DEAD! It won’t respond to any unlock method. On app, I couldn’t wake it up. I couldn’t unplugged the charging dispenser that has been in it for 3 days. Is it when dispenser is connected, it keeps draining 12V battery? Good thing this is happening in my garage instead of somewhere else. I recalled couple others had same issue after coming back from vacation to see this predicament. I didn’t plug to charger during 18 days trip, but I did plugged in since Saturday drive and not unplugged since. It’s not hazard issu, but this problem now. Grrrrr……
