[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

Okay so the facial recognition being a contributing factor is definitely debunked, my next theory is that it’s related somehow to the Bluetooth connection to the phone key…. The loud clacking I’m hearing is from the Bluetooth connection to my phone audio, and when that stops the car allows driving
I don’t use the mobile key. Don’t have it configured.

I don't believe this is true. My kids have mentioned to me the car did the "clacking" thing when they enter the car first from the rear doors (after I remotely cool and unlock the car). The driver's door never opened.
Yep, I finally experienced the clacking from just the rear door.

Mine would not go into drive when I went to use it last night.

Car details - 2023 Pure AWD, not plugged in, raining out, passive unlock turned off, carrying fob, no phone.

Incident details - pressed door handle to unlock car, got in, buckled up, pressed brake, had no screens. Tried shifting into forward, them reverse. Got a back-up camera, nothing else. After trying to shift a couple of times and pressing the parking brake, I did a reset. 15 to 30 seconds later the car was ready to drive.

2025 Air Touring DD pro.

Won't go into drive after charging. Have to wait 30 seconds - minute. Only way for me to fix, is get out of the car, lock and then unlock. Happens to me after every single charging encounter.

It’s maddening for me ! Still waiting for a software fix . My wife’s lease is coming up and after watching this issue Lucid is out of the question for her next car .

I want my wife to move from her Mercedes GL450 to a Gravity, but after this shift to drive problem with my Air she doesn't want to.

That’s been happening to me ever since the new software update. It will eventually go into drive if you wait long enough. For me it can be up to 7 mins before it finishes the boot up. Sucks. I wish they would issue a patch

I just updated my car to 2.6.16 and have not driven it hhhh
how frequent is this issue ? all cars or just like 2 - 3 % ?

we have no way of knowing that. But it seems to happen irrespective of age and model / features.

Seems like 2.7 is supposed to fix the issue discussed here
https://www.lucidupdates.com/ota-updates.html

"We resolved an issue that has been causing delays in some vehicles shifting into Drive or Reverse."

Looking forward to not having to wait 3 minutes to drive anymore

Installing 2.7.0 now on my 25 AT. I’ve been experiencing this more often the past week, so I’m hoping this takes care of it.

Just wanted to give my experience - I updated to 2.7 yesterday and have not experienced the drive/reverse issue the 3 times I drove my car yesterday. I will be driving a bit more today but hopefully this issue is finally resolved!!!

How often were you seeing the issue before 2.7?
