Floor mats!

Since people asked @stratus here is a pic of the driver side prototype. Apparently it'll be about 2 more months and cost roughly $200 for front/rear. They are going to raise the edges a little more especially near the dead pedal.

Thanks for posting this and working with 3D mats . Will be very very useful to have.

I wish they’d wrap around the accelerator pedal more on the right side. You can see where the right side of your right foot shoe has left marks on your carpeting. Offering protection from that would really make these mats nice.

I asked them for the same, but they said it's a safety issue of the mat getting stuck on one of the pedals if it comes loose.

Looks good. What is the material used for the 3D mats? Who is the manufacturer?

Thanks for posting
Looks very good
Will they come in other colors? Tan?
Black and Grey for sure, not sure about tan.

They have a couple of types of mats (rubberized liner, carpeted liner, etc.) .. you can find more info on their site: "3D Mats USA"

What are 3D mats? How do they differ from traditional mats?

Basically a company that produces floor mats similar to WeatherTech (Laser cut, deep well, etc.)
You can check out their site ("3D Mats USA") or visit the other thread (w/ posted photo of prototype in a Lucid) "3DFloorMats"

The 3D brand mats have better coverage of the sides of the foot well than most mats, including weather tech. So the edges of your muddy shoes don't leave dirt on the edges of the foot well. Tuxmats are even better, but no plans from them for the Air at this time.

What’s with the difficulty of getting replacement or extra floormats? Supply chain problems? COVID?

I myself would like a set of Mojave floor mats to cover the Santa Cruz floor mats that are already there, and a second set of Santa Cruz floor mats, just because.

First World Problems of the Entitled.
I don’t know tbh. My advisor told me they’d take 3 to 4 weeks which I was fine with and months later I still don’t have them. The weird thing was he said “I have the rear” “now I have the passenger. Just waiting on drivers mat” and never heard anything back. Sounded like he was hunting for scraps because everyone else delivers mats in sets.

They were supposed to tide me over until the all weather mats arrived so he just saved me $250. Not sure why Lucid couldn’t have ordered 10,000 sets of the all weather though, especially with winter coming. Not like the car is changing anytime soon that would make them outdated…..

Yes please. Can't wait for them to be available.

Have the Lucid All-weather-floor-mats on order (was supposed to ship out on Nov. 1) ..

Got an email yesterday that said "... some unanticipated delays in the delivery of this product..." they now think they'll ship w/in the next 10 days. 🤞

Has anyone received the Graphite ones? If so, would love to hear your thoughts (looks, feel, fit, etc.)

I got the same email, inviting me to respond with any questions. I asked if there would be other colors available, as I have the Santa Cruz interior and would be interested in a color-matched mat, not sure if I should cancel my Graphite order. But no response yet.

Graphite to match Santa Cruz interior.
I will be forced to go this route as well when my Touring arrives. Will also Scotch Guard the rest of the carpet. I’ve never had a light carpet vehicle before, so I’m a little concerned about keeping it clean.
