How fast is the Wifi? Any limit on data if someone in the back seat wants to use a tablet and stream Video?
I don’t think AGT can hotspot, it is only WiFi to connect your home for OTA download.

People tell me i'm too focused on the cars software and a car is just a car and doesn't need so much emphasis on software. But working in IT for 20+ years you can see the transition that is taking place and can see why mechE's are mad because we're in the middle of a huge transitional shift. Cars have become computers on wheels and old school car manufacturers are struggling to adapt with the new reality that the hardware and software need to work together and well with more emphasis on the software. I think Lucid, Rivian, Tesla etc. are all in very good positions. Yes, the old boys are great at manufacturing but you can see what Tesla has done in 10 years of manufacturing that the old boys haven't even bothered to streamline etc.

I see this as the iPhone era. Nokia and Motorola were kings they just stuck to what worked and didn't really adapt or more so adapt quickly enough. Apple came in and obliterated them. I remember when the iPhone was announced people laughed at it and said "who wants a touch screen phone" etc. and look where we are today. I see this in the automotive space, Tesla, Lucid and Rivian are Apple the old boys are Nokia and Motorola who are struggling to adapt. Now the question I have with the old boys is......... who will survive?

When software becomes so good that it isn't recognizable as running is when that achievement has been reached. ICE you get in and turn the key but don't think about the addition of fuel, compression stroke, exhaust stroke etc.

Traffic Jam Assist just means that when the lane marking are unavailable or otherwise obscured (as happens on some highways), it will follow the car ahead of you instead of following the lane markings. You wouldn't see anything change in the UI, so I'm not actually sure if it's activated yet. I will say that Highway Assist, at least on the highways here in the bay area so far, has been absolutely flawless.

I was told it IS activated in 2.0.

It has arrived

Here it comes!

Lucky new owners will not know the prior headaches 😉

So have we all skipped 2.0.1? and therefore does this 2.0.2 fall in between that and 2.0.7 yeah?
I think it’s 2.0.2, 2.0.4 then 2.0.7

I'm lost here. Can you decode this for me? Why would the numbering skip? Does it signify something about the nature of the updates?

From Len in another thread:

Greetings and happy Tuesday all! The first of four updates will be rolled out to your Lucid Air today. A couple of reminders - WiFi is your friend for these updates. Some are going to be sizable so a solid connection is best. Also, you will see no change in functionality with this first update. It sets the stage for subsequent updates that should follow later this week.

We're setting up an email inbox for any questions or issues you may encounter. This may not be done today but I'll circle back with that ASAP. I'll also use this thread to keep you advised on the timing of the following OTA updates.
