3.0 on Air

I’m waiting patiently for my update. But too curious to know if the left side of the cockpit has changed or better yet, customizable.
Same here, hoping they added more granular wiper speed controls, like gravity, since the auto wipers are horrid. Also the ability to control wiper speed settings from the steering thumb controls ,like on Teslas, after tapping the wipe button.

Just did the software update; I like being able to have different windows in the top and bottom center displays. Will post more as I live with it

Thanks for trying. Appreciate it.

Might try a reboot when I get home.

Did anyone else get the software pushed again? My car now saying I have a software update available but it’s the same version number I just installed.
Rebooted and no change in behavior. To be clear, I'm attaching a pic of the nav. This is the smaller, search window that I'm trying to get rid of. Is tapping on the screen working for everyone else to make this disappear?

Also, still getting a prompt to update the software (to the same 2.11 version). Will do that when I get home. Don't want to risk it at work.

Yep that's what I meant. Lucid could easily fix it by putting this data on the screen, instead of only showing me how many miles I've driven and leaving so much blank space.
When I had a gravity as a loner recently, that was the thing that stood out the most to me in terms of the visual presentation. And even bigger screen than we have in the air and just so much open space. You have to think they’ll optimize that better down the road

... ability to control wiper speed settings from the steering thumb controls ...
Yes, do write [email protected] about this proposal/request, I just did so this afternoon...
converting a hard to use (dangerous) touch screen control to a safe, easy to use hardware control is a win (and if some don't like that change, there could always be a settings switch to control the old setup or the new).

Confirming this worked for me after an overnight deep sleep. So icon on the pilot panel bottom row. Whichever is on the left is what the car starts up with. I'm good with that.

The orientation even held for me as my preference is North up.

The zoom level does not hold. I had to zoom out again as I've had to do every time.

Slightly concerning, my charge session stopped after only 3% additional charge. I'll test that again tonight when I get home.
Worked for me as well, but also resets to the default map view. Nice find though. The search overlay is also doesn't go away for me.

A couple interesting things today...

PIN required:
Got in the car, phone and Apple Watch only (no key fob). Put in D and the car asked for my PIN in order to drive.

Apple Watch:
This probably has zip to do with the update, but it was an interesting find. I can unlock the car, open the frunk or trunk from further away using the Apple Watch app than I can with the phone app. For giggles and grins I tried to unlock the car from a distance with my phone locked and in my pocket. Success!
Yes my car is not recognizing the phone key efficiently, asking me for the pin. I'll try to re-pair the phone key again.

Yes when I tap on my screen it goes away. I tried attaching a video to show this but it's not showing up

Updated yesterday morning, but did not actually drive the car until today.... In general I like it.

Wonderful to be able to have something different on the pilot vs cockpit panel, that was always my biggest gripe. Drove today with Waze on the Cockpit via CarPlay and Lucid nav on the pilot panel (doing the actual navigation). Waze still did report police, construction, etc. Also great to be able to have media on the pilot panel and Carplay on the cockpit panel.

Finally a Carplay button! Our Audi Q8 Etron has one and it was always a multi step process to get Carplay display back on the Air. No more. I use Carplay a lot.

Customization is nice for the bottom icon row. Be nice to be able to add more items to it (or customize the swipe down screen), but it's an improvement.

As mentioned by someone else, it does seem like the left most bottom icon is what the car displays when starting up. Don't have enough time with it yet to fully understand if this is always the case.

Hopefully the left of center Cockpit display area becomes more customizable. On my long gone Model S I usually had tire pressure there (on the Audi it allows you to create a custom button to take you right there), or sometimes energy display and switch between them using the steering wheel controls. That area has always been somewhat useless on the Air (I believe you can customize that on the Gravity so here's hoping).

Trip data and Tire pressure are two things I use a lot, and it's more work to get to trip now, and the same with tire pressure. Having Settings on the left of the customizable icon row makes it somewhat easier to get to trip or tire pressure when starting up, but still would be nice to display current trip efficiency or tire pressure on the left Cockpit display.

Vibes don't seem to do much except change color but I'd really prefer just to pick a solid color and intensity and just set it to that (like black or a darker blue?). Seems no way I have found to do that.

Took me a while to find the seat massage controls, and created a button for that since I use massage a lot.

I only have basic Surround sound in my Air, but music seems much fuller with better bass. Could be placebo effect, have play with that some more, but appeared to be quite noticeable (again I could be crazy).

I can't get the search box on Lucid Nav to go away, be nice to be able to do that.

Still getting used to it, but all in all it seems like a great first step.

The default map behave differently whether a destination is set or not. When there is no destination or route set I can't get the search overlay to disappear on the cockpit panel. I use google maps to do the routing on the pilot panel.

As is often the case, I’m seeing a lot of requests to put more things on the displays. There’s a balance to this.

Filling the screen with buttons, in my opinion, is precisely what’s wrong with a lot of car UX (I’m looking at you, Tesla) these days.

You are driving. You should not have dozens of distractions on your screens.

Having said that, Lucid might tend to over index on this a bit for some people. I get that.

But just know there’s a real science to this, and filling up your screens with more buttons and info can be demonstrably more dangerous for most driving situations.

Just my 2 cents.

You're right. It only works while navigating
