Updated yesterday morning, but did not actually drive the car until today.... In general I like it.
Wonderful to be able to have something different on the pilot vs cockpit panel, that was always my biggest gripe. Drove today with Waze on the Cockpit via CarPlay and Lucid nav on the pilot panel (doing the actual navigation). Waze still did report police, construction, etc. Also great to be able to have media on the pilot panel and Carplay on the cockpit panel.
Finally a Carplay button! Our Audi Q8 Etron has one and it was always a multi step process to get Carplay display back on the Air. No more. I use Carplay a lot.
Customization is nice for the bottom icon row. Be nice to be able to add more items to it (or customize the swipe down screen), but it's an improvement.
As mentioned by someone else, it does seem like the left most bottom icon is what the car displays when starting up. Don't have enough time with it yet to fully understand if this is always the case.
Hopefully the left of center Cockpit display area becomes more customizable. On my long gone Model S I usually had tire pressure there (on the Audi it allows you to create a custom button to take you right there), or sometimes energy display and switch between them using the steering wheel controls. That area has always been somewhat useless on the Air (I believe you can customize that on the Gravity so here's hoping).
Trip data and Tire pressure are two things I use a lot, and it's more work to get to trip now, and the same with tire pressure. Having Settings on the left of the customizable icon row makes it somewhat easier to get to trip or tire pressure when starting up, but still would be nice to display current trip efficiency or tire pressure on the left Cockpit display.
Vibes don't seem to do much except change color but I'd really prefer just to pick a solid color and intensity and just set it to that (like black or a darker blue?). Seems no way I have found to do that.
Took me a while to find the seat massage controls, and created a button for that since I use massage a lot.
I only have basic Surround sound in my Air, but music seems much fuller with better bass. Could be placebo effect, have play with that some more, but appeared to be quite noticeable (again I could be crazy).
Still getting used to it, but all in all it seems like a great first step.
