I could’ve sworn they DID disable it for a period at some point over the past year. I think what they disabled was the automatic opening/closing based solely on geofencing because people’s Gravity (a couple, not a ton) had gotten hit by the garage door or something. It was auto triggering so Lucid disabled that and made it so you HAD to use the screen or shortcut…

on screen button for me. It appears as an onscreen drop-down as I approach my garage, so it's kind of easy to tap on it

Thread 'Homelink doesn't work automatically on a Lucid?! (feature request)'

My 2020 Tesla Model X would open and close my garage door automatically for me: (open it when I arrive home, and close it after I pulled out of the garge). It also would collapse the side mirrors as I pulled into my garage.

I am surprised that a Lucid doesn't do these things. I guess I was expecting too much or simply got used to these functionalities.

I'd like to see Lucid do this in the future. (consider this a feature request)
 
Yes, this and a bunch of other Homelink UI/UX issues, I've posted in multiple threads over the past months.
I don't think Lucid gives two hoots about it, too busy promoting new stuff and firing/hiring new executives.
A full year of ownership and many software updates later, there are still days when I want to drive it off the cliff and collect insurance.
Never hated a car so much in my life, while also enjoying driving it.

And yet for some reason, it has always worked perfectly on my Air! Both the gate and garage and geofencing on both. Perfect! 🤣
 
My garage door would randomly open by itself. Thought it was my Lucid doing it. Removed it from the HomeLink on my Lucid and the garage door would still randomly open. Called Liftmaster/MyQ and they said it is a known issue with the Liftmaster IC board. Got it replaced, reprogrammed HomeLink on my Lucid, and now it has never happened again.
 
It’d be so informative if Lucid could review the logs from owners’ submitted reports and let us know what they see.

My homelink has worked flawlessly on the custom button for 8 months.

I recently added my son's opener to my homelink list and I was having his button (but not mine) come up on the dash when I got home. A series of park, reverse, drive. park and umpteen other things later, both (including my own) would pop up.

I sent software feedback a note covering the problem and a suggestion (if we can't bring up only the opener we're near, list them consistently in alphabetical order).

Just sayin' - both openers have come up at both houses consistently ever since. Coincidence? For sure, but I'll take the result! Like Alexa and Siri, maybe Lucid assistant is listening all the time - and fixed it. 🤣 I'll take it!

I DO think Lucid cares. They monitor this forum, they have the email addresses, etc. However, how they prioritize isn’t something we’re able to know. For example, the fob issues in August of last year were far more important than HomeLink. Not sure what their focus is now.

Not defending them and I think it’s obvious if they could fix items quickly, they would. As mentioned, they’ve been in rough seas for a long time and they may/may not get to the other side.

This makes me wonder if it’s Lucid or the garage door controller. The fob sends out radio waves and it’s possible that some bad garage door controllers are being triggered by the fob through electromagnetic noise, in which case it’s a problem with the garage door controller and not Lucid.

For those having problems, what specific models of garage door openers do you have? I have a pretty old Chamberlain and I’ve never had this phantom garage door trigger with my Gravity.

Not entirely sure, but I think the Gravity key fob operates on UWB and its spectrum is different from most US based garage door openers that likely operate at 315MHz or 390 MHz. Are you trying to convey that despite the different frequencies in use, the key fob may be emitting some radio noise which the garage door openers are responding to, but shouldn't be?

Anecdotally, I've had my opener trigger when my Gravity wakes via the Lucid app.

As a data point, I use a wall mount MyQ opener.

I’m just throwing out possibilities. The garage door controller being bad is possible, since @AlignTrex mentioned random opening was a known issue with Liftmaster/MyQ. A google search shows some users complain about a faulty wall control switch and vibrations causing the garage door to open.

We’d need Lucid logs to see if a signal was sent from the car - that would give us the definitive answer. However, it seems that we can’t assume it was the car and not the garage door system.
