Update on my stuck passenger side rear window. Service tech was awesome this morning. Worked on it for 1.5 hours as he knew I had to hit the road for part two of road trip.
Ultimately, after removing inside panel of door, he did a bunch of tests to confirm signals and power were being sent and then said the actuator needed to be replaced. He anticipated this so he brought one - except it was accidentally for the Air. So, he pulled the widow up manually and left it that way (per my preference) as we had to go.
So, new actuator ordered and he said it should be quick. But car will go to SC to replace as they can then work in frunk alignment and some minor items I wasn’t going to deal with except the window being stuck open necessitated service. I didn’t realize Air doesn’t have frameless windows…feels like using the same actuator would’ve been a good idea, but I like the frameless windows.
Also, and of interest to me as I hadn’t thought of knock on effects:
1) Interior Panel - he couldn’t put it back on as door needs to be open to do that. Door can’t open if window is all the way up (as we know). So panel is sitting in my garage for now.
2) Door - can’t open as window can’t go down. That’s fine for now. It doesn’t present anyway, so no one can accidentally pull it and break glass.
3) Door open/unlatched - the car thinks the door is unlatched. That’s fine as it just shows a symbol. But, as a result (I think) DreamDrive Pro won’t work. Totally fine, just forgot how annoying a three hour drive is when you actually HAVE to drive.

On the other hand, realized how quickly and quietly one can get to 80+ mph and have no idea. It’s quite fun. DreamDrive Pro will likely pay for itself in speeding tickets I avoid!
Overall, solid service experience and believe this is just a random, one off issue. Look, these things do happen. And service jumped on it and came to my house quickly.
My 2016 P90D X had its rear motor fail a week after delivery. Got replaced and worked incredibly well the rest of ownership.
