Gravity Bugs / Issues

This is across all Gravities afaict. Mine isn’t a rattle, but a squeak… but they are aware of this and actively working on a solution.

Honestly, part of the reason it’s so grating is because the car is otherwise so damn quiet.
Mine is a metallic sounding squeak. We had our daughter sit in the second row on a drive (she is usually in the front as it is normally just she and I in the vehicle) and scootch the left side a little bit forward as some people mentioned moving one side 1/4” different than the other helped them. When she got out it no longer made noise. If I change how she adjusted it though I have to have her sit in it and adjust it again. If I adjust it without her sitting in it, it does not change this squeak. So odd but I have figured out what stops it for us until there is a fix so while super annoying, I’ve found a way to live with it.

Weird! And yeah ours is just… a squeak. Can’t say it’s particularly metallic sounding, but I’m certain it’s the same sound. There’s a single root cause; they’ll identify it and address it.

A major annoyance so far is the key does not work sometimes, the car won't sense the key after sitting in it.
Wondering if anyone else is having this issue and wonder if my key battery needs replacing? Happened at least 3 times in the last couple of days

One time we just sat in the car for 10 minutes and it wouldn't switch on, then we went and got the key card and it worked, strangely the key worked again for the rest of the day but stopped again today morning
Had to have my key fob replaced - after being instructed to remove and replace battery - at a Lucid Service center because of this issue… key was detected when close to vehicle but none of the physical buttons worked; It required resetting User/Owner profile etc etc

If in doubt, just put a new non-bitterant-coated CR2032 battery in the fob. It costs less than a dollar and takes less than a minute.

Note that the fob may not be detected if placed in the cupholder area. I keep mine in my pocket.
Actually battery replacement will not necessarily work. I tried that and key fob was detected when close to the vehicle but none of the physical buttons on the fob worked again…ever; had to replace fob

Did they actually have a fob to give you?

New bug for me and would like to know if others have it…

When my iPhone is charging wirelessly and I am using Waze (I use an AirPod to listen to directions), I very quickly receive a “no GPS signal” screen warning on my phone from Waze and it shows my car driving off somewhere else and keeps trying to re-route me.

Pick up the phone and put it in my lap, warning goes away and Waze updates location correctly and works.

Put it back on pad, get the error message.

Tried 3-4 times, same issue. Haven’t tried other apps.

The center console is like a Ouija board. Maybe no one needs a new center console, just an exorcism…

Again, not at all a huge deal, but curious (to me)…

I'm a first time Lucid owner (two weeks now), but I thought I had read on this forum about how Lucid offers support.

The veteran Lucid owners stepped up with responses. 😀
I'm a first time Lucid owner as well and this forum has been a lifesaver. When first encountering the key/fob/access issues I took it right to the service center. I could tell right away they had zero answers because mine was the first Gravity they'd seen. They did address a couple of things and got me running again but my access success was still intermittent. That is until I learned the Dr. Zorro Access (aka: DZA) right here on this forum. I've had 100% success with this method since I began using it.

That is really weird. Not seen anything like that nor would I be able to explain it...even a strong EM field shouldn't be able to do that to your phone, if it still has a data connection radio (cell signal) working. Are you on a beta software (IOS26)? I'd really like to see this one run to ground...

No re: Beta. After beta messing up all sorts of stuff in the past, I stick with public releases.

I am on 18.6.2.

I don't know if this might be related, but . . .

We took a recent short road trip in our Gravity. Since our navigation and GPS system is not working in the car we tried to use the navigation system on my partner's Google phone. (Since CarPlay is not yet active in the Gravity, I didn't try to use my iPhone navigation.) Every few minutes throughout the trip the Google phone said "GPS signal lost". This was while driving up I-75 in heavily-populated areas where we have never had such alerts before in any of our cars or phones.

Fortunately we knew enough about where we were going to wing it without a reliable navigation system, but we haven't tried another road trip since until we can get the navigation system in the car functioning. It left us wondering whether there is something about the glass in the Gravity that interferes with GPS signals inside the car?

We got the first of the work authorizations on our Gravity from the Service Center this morning. It contained this item:

"The driver's side hush panel may interfere with the brake pedal, preventing it from fully returning to the resting position. This can result in the brake system remaining partially engaged, leading to a reduction in power."

Has anyone else heard of this?

I think it’s because you are driving too close to that Bermuda Triangle place 🤣
