wouldn't app changes need to be delivered OTA? even with AAOS underlying (is that was it is?), there's no android controlled UI, so no google store access, no google-related apps, etc .. all seems to be hidden behind the lucid UX. In contrast, polestar with AAOS had direct (but limited) access to the google play store for AAOS apps, so those apps could indeed update on their own individually. No?

Yes, but that doesn’t mean that Sirius did not send Lucid a new app update to their app in the car to include in the latest OTA.

Lucid controls the delivery mechanism, but does not write the Sirius app.

There is a setting in the vehicle to allow it to change lanes in case of slow traffic or an opening or if a lane is coming to an end. It works pretty well, but there are also times I don’t want it to change lanes, which you can override. It also doesn’t work when trailering or in construction zones.

FWIW, the Gravity has this too. It will suggest lane changes, and then you just confirm by turning the blinker on.

Just tried Handsfree, and it worked great Really smooth.
The only suggestion I'd make is that it's time to eliminate that extra turn signal blink after an automated lane change.

I lowered the steering wheel and was able to engage Handsfree. However, I get a lots of warnings to watch the road. Is this caused by looking at the speedometer? Also I was not able to switch to ACC or Drive Assist. Only Handsfree or off.

Did you confirm distracted and drowsy driver alerts are on in Dream Drive settings? Mine were on before the update but then the OTA inexplicably turned them off so I turned them back on and hands free worked spectacularly. I did have to slightly lower the steering wheel for better face recognition but other than that on my commute in Hands Free worked even better than regular Drive Assist did. I was very impressed. I did have an isolated incident of phantom slowing but I think it was justified as there was a large truck to my right up front and the Lucid read it as two trucks with one being in my lane as the truck was close to the line, so the car briefly decelerated by 5mph but then within 2 seconds recognized the truck was not in my lane and then resumed. I actually appreciated it was being cautious without doing more dramatic deceleration like Tesla.

Thanks. I checked all the settings and the camera's ability to see me, but I still only have Drive Assist. Maybe the feature isn't turned on for I 15 in Utah. I thought it would work everywhere that Drive Assist worked, but that may be a bad assumption.

I got my update last night and tried it out today for a 20 mile stretch of I-65 between Indianapolis and Chicago. It worked really well for me, although I did have to initiate lane changes. The steering was smooth. The only thing I didn't love was how close it would keep me to large trucks when passing (and I-65 has a lot of commercial truck traffic). I would have moved farther to the outside of the lane if it was me. But aside from that, and that is a personal preference item, I was impressed. It was definitely relaxing and I'll happily use this feature over and over.

I did another 30 mile stint with hands free this evening. Again, very smooth overall. I did find something that caused the system trouble: I was in the left lane of the highway (2 lanes each side) when the highway became 3 lanes - it pulled me hard into the new far left lane, then steered back into middle, and back to left before I just took the wheel. I would imagine this is a recognition feature around the appearance of a “new lane” that will eventually be improved and it didn’t surprise me that much. But I won’t go hands free on this section again.

On the third day and the third try it started working. Maybe it took a few days to digest the update. It works well now.

Switching from Drive Assist (hands free or not) and ACC is the same as it always was; hold the DreamDrive button.

I'm guessing this is because we have weak cell service here (1 bar on AT&T). I probably should have waited and done this overnight. I hadn't planned to be without my car all afternoon (and into the evening?), but here I am. I guess I'll go water the lawn.

I had the same issue; 12% then it finally finished.
I initiated the update at like 9:00 pm and I knew my wife wasn't going to need the car until the next day.

Well the update failed and the car shows 0% charge, so I can't move it. Lucid service is going to push another update to me and we will try again. Oh well.

How do I engage Drive Assist/ACC. When I press the Dream Drive Button, Hands free appears on the Driver display.

Press the dream drive button and it will switch from HFDA to ACC just like before when it switched between DA and ACC. If you want to turn off HFDA, go to setttings > dream drive and turn HFDA off. When HFDA is turned off, it will function like it did prior to the 2.8.0 release.

Both places. The app also shows I have 42% charge, which is correct. Lucid has been incredibly reponsive, calling me back twice after the original phone call to work the problem. They put the car in factory mode and they are "flashing software" (I don't know exactly what that means, but I am impressed nonetheless). When that is complete, they are going to push the 2.8.0 update again. The service tech even gave me his personal cell in case I need to reach him. Very impressed so far.
