My Biggest Concern with Gravity

Here's my understanding of AZ law: Arizona mandates that insurers offer a $0 deductible for windshields as part of comprehensive coverage and that fling a windshield claim in Arizona will not increase your insurance premiums, as it's not considered a driver fault incident
My carrier apparently didn't get a memo about the above.
No fault means they don’t raise your rates. But not offering you a discount isn’t raising the rates…

I feel your pain, but the only pain I like is pain au chocolate.

Write the state insurance commissioner. It’s literally their job. It works.

Yes, I could've taken that route, like bunnylebowski, but I just walked, switching to actually one of the carriers that you'd recommended.
And the surprise thing was my premium went down.
So a belated thank-you to you.

Yes, so many ways they can get back at you.
As stated, "grey zone" exists, so just beware.

My insurance carrier did not raise my premium but declined to give me a discount because I had submitted too many rock chip repair claims.
These were rock chip repairs, not windshield replacement.
Had I known that they would be counted against my records, I'd have gladly paid out of pocket since these are relatively minor expenses.
So my take away from this experience is: even though the laws is so black and white for glass coverage in Az, my insurance carrier still managed to find a gray zone.
This is in the context of no other type of claims, none, with this carrier in the preceding years.
So frustrating. I’ve paid for repairs myself for just this reason…they find a way to get you. 😢

@borski, who do you recommend? I renew in August and would love to ship around. Thanks!
I had great experiences with GEICO, but now I recommend any of the HNW insurers: PURE, Chubb, Cincinnati, Nationwide Private Client
