How long before all GDEs are delivered?

When will the last Gravity DE be delivered to its owner?

Wasn't there a rumor DE001 went to ksa

There was, but I saw a news article today that said Gravity deliveries had not yet started in KSA as they were going to the factory there first for final assembly. (I don't remember the source.) That made sense to me, as I don't think the KSA-bound Gravities we've been seeing in drone flyovers would have had time yet to get shipped across the ocean and go through final assembly. (We know that at least the charge port doors were not installed on them in Casa Grande.)

Of course, there are probably customers there who would have the wherewithal to have one flown over . . . .

Excuse my ignorance, are all the DEs a special color?

No. They are available in a color subset of the Gravity GTs: Green, Black, White. Currently Green and Black have been built. White builds are starting soon or have started.

My SA continues to claim "end of June," which seems bold but not completely implausible since we've seen that they are actually being built.
My weekly text message to my SA on status came back with a claim yesterday that "all dream editions are still scheduled for end of month in June" (and still no commits on test drives). Take that as you will. Maybe they're just queuing them up to make a big splash in June?

That’s my guess. Every SUV person I talk to is like “cool, but why do I need 1000HP for the thing that drives my kids to school?” Which is entirely fair, lol.
My 'kids' are two dogs and a wife. They all tolerate my unhealthy bad driving...

My SA told me all DEs will be delivered (maybe more accurately - built) by the end of summer. Not sure what is defined by end of summer. Of course this is all hearsay.

Well I’ve got a DE ordered (black) that isnt even in production yet. Seems like it’d be a miracle if it were delivered by end of June.

FWIW, I was at the Scottsdale SC yesterday and saw another Gravity ready for delivery. So, Lucid is clearly rolling them out. Kind of weird that none of the forum old timers have gotten theirs, despite their early orders and existing ownership status.

I talked to someone in corporate Sales yesterday who said only five GDE's have been delivered so far. He did tell me that one of our GDE orders now has a pre-VIN which he said meant it was scheduled for the next batch of builds. He did not know what that meant in terms of when it would enter production or what delivery windows might be. He also did not know when the pre-VIN notification was added to the account or why my SA had not let me know.

I got assigned a VIN number for my Gravity DE yesterday and it has started production, I was told they are happening in batches and can expect the car in 2-3 weeks
Didn't see you name on the reservation tracker. Would be nice to see what color, wheel & interior options you chose to gauge what is being currently built.

Nice! Hope many more of us get a similar update sooner rather than later.

Just talked to my SA yesterday and he told me I have a partial VIN number. Whatever that means. However, he still confident I should get my GDE by the end of June, which I hope is the case. I’m trading in my CyberTruck in for that and don’t want to keep losing value on it. And before anyone wants to comment on the CyberTruck. I love it and nothing is wrong with it. I only realized after the fact I have no use for a truck. I have had it for almost a year and still have not used it as a truck and probably never will. I do however need a people mover and little more luxury. GDE checks all of the boxes. Lastly, I still think Lucid are the best engineered EVs out there. Hands down. Sorry Tesla owners. I do give Teslas one thing (besides the supercharger network). Their UX is the best in the market. Lucid maybe think about stealing some of Teslas programmers? Ha Ha Just kidding. As much as I want Lucid to succeed all around, I want to Tesla to keep on succeeding as well. Anyway, gotten a little side tracked here. I just want my GDE by the end of June. I’ll be a happy camper.

Partial VIN - in that they haven't assigned the last 6 digits? lol.

I assume you are picking up at the Roswell Service Center? Is your SA Michael by chance? I would be surprised if they deliver your GDE without also sending mine, but I'm not sure they are all that focused on logistics at the moment. I still have zero information on my build... Aurora/Yosemite/23" wheels...

Ha Ha Yes Michael is my SA and yes picking up from the Roswell service center. From what Michael told me. With the end of June being the end of the second quarter, they want to get all of the GDE or at least a majority of them out to customers to boost their bottom line. Being in finance, I tend to agree. However, making that a reality is a different story. I just hope they can. Aurora/Tahoe/20” Was thinking about bigger wheels, but buying and driving EVs for almost 13 years I prefer the long range and comfortable ride. IMO the 0-60 and handling is a novelty. You might do it the 0-60 hand full of times and then stop doing them afterwards. As for handling, having the bigger wheels only helps it slightly. One thing for sure, it does look better, I do give it that.

Well, my fingers remained crossed that both your vehicle and mine arrive sooner rather than later! Having driven the GT version yesterday, I would happily give up the 22/23" wheel for the 21/22", but the 20/21 does not do it for me aesthetically (from what I can tell anyway - same for the Air 19").

I will keep my fingers crossed as well that we both will get it by the end of next month. I took a test drive on Wednesday at Lenox. I have to agree with the 20” not being aesthetically appealing, but as I have mentioned before I’m looking for range (distance and longevity) and comfort. I suppose each to their own. I did have the 19” on the Air and it did not fair well look wise but did the job. At least the 20” on the Gravity looks a little better.

Their UX is the best in the market.
Haha man, every time I read this I couldn’t disagree more. It’s not even that Lucid’s UX is perfect; far from it. I like it, but it’s not perfect. Far too many things that are undiscoverable, some affordances/signifiers that are confusing, and so on.

(If you haven’t read Don Norman’s Design of Everyday Things, put it at the top of your list. You’ll never see doors (or anything else) the same way again.)

As much as I want Lucid to succeed all around, I want to Tesla to keep on succeeding as well.
Same; I really do want them to do well. More competition, not less. But it’s not going to happen without some significant changes on Tesla’s part, namely getting rid of their now-extremely-unpopular CEO. But that’s a digression that doesn’t belong on this thread.

Just talked to my SA yesterday and he told me I have a partial VIN number. Whatever that means.
Wat. VINs are all the same (essentially) and only the last 6 digits are unique. This sounds like your SA is making things up, but maybe Lucid has some crazy internal system, I have no idea.

I suppose we have to agree to disagree on the OS/software. I’m not talking about design wise or how aesthetically it looks. I’m just saying it just works and without any lag time. I’ve owned plenty of EVs and ICE vehicles where they relied on screens and it’s just did not meet the smoothness, quickness and dependability as Teslas. I’m sure others will eventually get there. My test drive with the Gravity the other day proved my point to me. My CyberTruck was so much smoother and quicker. Now, the Gravity is leaps ahead of the Air that I had.

Yes I believe in competition. Unlike you, I think Tesla’s CEO has done an amazing job with the company in a sector that didn’t exist just 15 years ago. Now, I do believe after current events that Tesla needs to start associating themselves as company can survive without the CEO at the helm. They are too intertwined. Making customers and investors think one cannot survive without the other.

As for the VIN, you made a good point. The first few digits and letters are the same coming from the same manufacturer. So, what my SA mentioned was correct that I have a partial VIN number. I don’t blame him though. He’s doing his job to ease the impatience of eager customers wanting their Gravity. Just have to be patient and hope it’s here sooner than later.
