Gravity Delivery Discussion

The quickest way is to contact the sales representative who was matched to you upon submission of the original order. Until recently even the sales reps were unable to change an order and had to call HQ, but now they can access the order system themselves and put in the change. It'll still take a day or two before the change shows up in your Lucid account profile, though.
It's faster now. My change today had a confirmation email in under 30 minutes.

I just called my sales specialist. He said the plan is still for the specialists to make contact for verbal final order confirmations, so this email was not that final confirmation before production. He has no idea why the emails went out, especially for order changes that had already been confirmed earlier.
I suspect we might share the Sales specialist. Without putting the full name here, his initials are VC. He first responded to my email and stated that he wasn't sure either what generated this email but within 20 min sent me another email stating :
"This may be an indication that your Dream edition has been slated to begin delivery! I'll
be in touch soon with more details".
I do hope I get an email or phone call before my final specs are locked in, although I don't anticipate making any changes.
PS- unless I missed it, the 0-60mph time on the Dream has still not been announced- right?
Maybe @borski has done a test 🤔

Nope, not my guy. I also didn't get the follow-up response you did. Actually, I was kind of hoping the Dreams wouldn't be the first off the line. I was also hoping our first GDE would arrive long enough before the second one so that we could confirm we liked it enough to replace our Air with the second one. But, as I got the same email later in the day for the second one, too, it's looking likely they're going to arrive fast on the heels of each other.

I've made several changes to both orders as I worked my way through all the information I could find on tires, wheels, colors, specs (and dragged some other kindly cooperative forum members through the process with me), so I'm as locked in on the orders as I'm probably going to be. However, not being able to see or test drive final production units and some strange-looking EPA numbers across the option mixes has made this something of a murky exercise.

I don't think @borski has been able to drive a Dream Edition yet, and I was really hoping for his input on the differences between a DE and GT before locking in at least the second car. But maybe we'll still hear from him the moment he gets to drive one. (That's a hint, bucko . . . . ;) )

Motors are going to be the same hardware right? Maybe a voltage/output difference for pack size?

I just wrote her and told her to change my interior to Mojave premium (didn't realize you don't get the 18-way seats or tray tables with basic) and the deluxe handling package.

The only DE I’ve seen was the one at the LA Auto Show ages ago. I have never driven one.

I just received (10am April 19th) a call from our Sales Rep saying our Gravity Dream Edition was about to start production and he would have a VIN soon. I was quite surprised, actually. We are long time Tesla owners, since 2014, having purchased 8 of them and with 2 at the moment. Wife wanted this because of it beauty. I will stick with my Teslas because I use Full Self Drive on every trip - amazing.
