For some reason, my car shows on the Lucid app as being a few miles north of where it actually is. It shows as being in a place where I have not been, as I just recently returned to AZ, and it really seems to be *exactly* north. Interestingly, there is a little yellowish dot in the place where the car really is, which is also my set 'home' location. Perhaps the app has always deliberately showed that 'home' dot, but I just never noticed it with the car icon on top. Does anyone know if there is a GPS reset process? BTW, I am not on the latest OTA release, so it's not that. Thanks!

The yellow dot is just your phone GPS; aka where you are. Always been there. Helpful for walking to the car.

Your car’s GPS seems broken. Try a reset, otherwise call service.

Thanks, @borski! You know... a logo reset didn't even occur to me. I must be getting senile! I'll try that tomorrow when I'll be taking the car up where there is a GPS signal.

Did that reset help?

Have same gps location issue some times. When starting the car, it’ll put its location literally 100+ miles away. Once start driving around it’ll re-center eventually but that’s not a good solution.

Oddly enough, the 100+ mile location is the same every time it does happen. Anyone know why &/or a fix?

The logo reset didn't help, but I have concluded that my issue is with a lost GPS signal in my parking garage. I have noticed that the GPS knows exactly where it is as I drive into the garage, and it quickly figures out where it is as I exit the garage. It seems to only be confused when it's down there, and I can live with that. In my case, the lost GPS signal does not always show the same exact (albeit wrong) location.

Sounds like your garage is lined in lead

Maybe, although I am two levels below grade. Clark Kent has the three spaces next to me, so it is apparently both a GPS and Kryptonite free zone. AT&T cellular free to boot!

Brand new 2025 AGT.

I parked my car in an underground garage in New York City. (They took great care of it)

A few hours later, the app proudly told me the AGT was a 30 minutes drive away in New Jersey.
The car said it was there a day later - I made the garage show me the car. It was NOT in NJ.

I called Lucid. They too told me the car was in NJ and were astonished to hear that it was not in NJ.

Did a Lucid reboot (which I learned existed.)

Car hasn't teleported since.

NOT a confidence builder.

No, the logo reset didn't help, and my car is now doing what yours is, when it's parked in my subterranean garage. It consistently shows in the same spot many miles away in the middle of the desert. The good news for me is that the GPS works as soon as the car exits the garage.

Is there anything you *do* like about the car? You made numerous posts this morning with birthing but complaints...

I absolutely love all aspects of driving the car. Mechanically, it's amazing. The combination of incredibly smooth power curve and the bottomless well of power is 1000% fun.
I knew when I bought it that - like all EVs - onboard software is a work in progress.
I knew from this forum that there were also some annoyances. At $130K, I expected that the infotainment system - which is not a major innovation - would be much more mature.
I had hoped that this forum was a path to people at Lucid who might take notice - I guess not.

Lucid definitely monitors the forum. Lots of things that have made it into the software were requested here. What tends to get ignored is people who constantly moan and groan. Unfortunately, some users have developed that reputation. Infotainment is much, much better than it was originally. And still improving. If you want to drive a laptop, a Tesla is a better choice. This is a true driver‘s car. My suggestion: look away from the screen and enjoy the amazing horsepower, handling, comfort, and range that is unmatched in the car industry.

One thing for sure is this is a Lucid fandom site. It would be beneficial if Lucid was a bigger part but the site clearly states, "Lucid Owners is an independent enthusiast organization and is not affiliated with Lucid Motors / Lucid Group, Inc. or its subsidiaries."

Thanks... Appreciate the counsel. I fully agree with your view of the joys of driving this machine. That said, I always drive with music on...

lol.

I love it when people show up at a bakery that sells donuts, complain that they only like scones, set fire to the paper towel dispenser, and then leave, complaining at the top of their lungs about how unfair it is they never got their scone.

Feel free to buy a scone. Plenty of bakeries for that.

But nobody here owes you a scone. If you hate donuts, stop buying donuts.

Lucid makes plenty of mistakes. Not making Teslas is not among them.

Who said I was complaining? Just stating the facts.

Yeah, donuts really do suck. Scones are better; but this forum just has a lot of donut lovers.

Doesn’t matter that I also bake scones, understand the chemistry behind baking, have made (and even preferred!) scones before, and have over time shifted my views to donuts being better (at this time, and for now!), because this particular donut shop has incredible donuts.

I still like scones. I just prefer donuts. You’re still allowed to prefer scones.

But getting annoyed when the “donut lovers” tell you how much better “soft and fluffy” is over “dense and sconey” is absurd. We like donuts.

And pretending you aren’t getting annoyed is nice, but not how any of your other messages read. No, I’m not going to go pick at them one by one. Ain’t nobody got time for that. You can just think I’m wrong.

I’m fine with that. I’ve got a donut.

Never said I wasn't annoyed especially when what your post doesn't really make much sense. I simply replied to the post about wishing Lucid was more involved in this site. Why does that bother you?

You wishing Lucid was more involved here doesn’t bother me. If that’s what you got out of my post, I’m not entirely surprised you thought it didn’t make sense.

That’s fine. I don’t have the time or desire to explain it again.

You’re right. It’s not you, it’s all of us.
