Does anyone know the size or model of the windshield wiper blades? I need to replace mine, but there's no detail in the user manual about their sizes. I've tried looking it up on Autozone and Advanced Auto Parts websites, but they have no data either.

I've had mine replaced at the service center. It would be good to be able to do it myself tho. $150 at the SC.

Bosch and Michelin do not list replacement blades.

I grabbed a measuring tape and found that the blades are 25.5" (driver's) and 19.5" (passenger's). That's... not a whole number of inches, which is confusing.

I'm not up for paying $150 for something so basic as changing wiper blades. Lucid isn't a wiper blade manufacturer, they must get these from _somewhere_. Maybe I'll just buy a Bosch wiper blade size 25 or 26 and see if it fits the driver's side.

Likely 500mm and 650mm. No wiper manufacturer is going to be making things in inches.

The wiper blades in the Lucid don't work like wiper blades that I've had in any other car. The washer fluid comes in through the blade, or something holding the blade, rather than being sprayed on the whole window and having the blades wipe it off. So maybe Lucid is replacing the whole assembly and that's why it's $150.

Pretty sure that's for the entire wiper arm assembly. When my blades were replaced at my 1 year service, the drive side blade was $16.90 and the passenger side blade was $16.51.

Am I the only one that things the stock wipers don't do a good job? Just went through a bunch of rain and the first wipe to the left of the windshield clears the view but the wipe back down to the hood makes the windshield so blurry. Wondering if different blades did the job for anyone before I go out and replace mine.

The stock blades have been great for the few rain storms we've had. When I first used them, it was weird because they are heated.

That was my experience, as well. However, I just had them replaced last week but have not had rain yet. Will try using the wiper dispenser to see if the return wipe clears as well as the outgoing one.

Actually, I think they are great. Have you truly cleaned them? You need to lift them and use a soap or APC solution and a course cloth to get road oil and grime off of them. Scrub the rubber edge. Washed wife's new Audi today and I was surprised at the oil and dirt that came off the blade and rubber when I cleaned it with a cotton cloth and APC.

And using a hydrophobic coating works wonders.

You cannot use different blades on a Lucid.

Thank you! They weren't very good right off the bat, the rains here in CA went pretty hard about a week after I got the car (it had 25 miles on it). I'll try cleaning them and see if that does anything.

Who knows, there are so many factors with wipers and windshields. I am shocked at the thin clear road oil-pollution coating on my cars sometimes. And few people actually really clean the live edge of wiper blades. And with hidden wiper blades, it can be real pain. You should get a black streak on your cloth when cleaning. That's a good thing, means you are taking of grime and oxidized rubber compound. I have used isopropyl alcohol to clean them as well. Same for the windshield to really get off oil scum.

Just replaced my driver side wiper insert. $18 at service center.

What I found that the reason I was getting a smear right in my line of sight = the rubber was out of the track in the arm, just a few cm in dead center. It's the part of the blade that travels over the trim when the wipers stows.

The insert is a thin, flimsy, rubber strip that slots into grooves on the arm. It was the easiest wiper blade replacement I've done in a long time.
It has a clip attached to one end that clips onto the end of the arm once the insert is pushed all the way in. The entire arm folds up, making installation a snap. I did this from the front with the funk open.
I too think the wipers are great, so two things: 1. check that the insert hasn't come out of the grooves in a section 2. Make sure the windshield is clean and you have properly polished it after applying the RainX or similar. Folks having problems might need to clean the blade or window as Peter described.

Also do not mix the regular washer fluid with the silicone types.

Follow up. I have the new driver's side wiper blade and it too is leaving a streak, in the center where the rubber blade is off the track. It seems the problem is the blade dislodges when the wiper arm moves to the stow position, off the glass.

My Touring is a year old - haven't replaced the blades yet - they seem to be clearing as designed. That said, there is a design flaw (not uncommon) where the Drivers side blade flings excess washer fluid on the passenger side windshield, after the passenger side blade is most of the way down. Since that's the resting position, the remaining washer fluid sits right in the passenger (wifey's!) line of sight. Even a second, third and sometimes fourth extra wipe (without fluid) leaves the droplets, because the remaining washer fluid is still clinging to the drivers blade. First world problem, but a bit annoying - I assume it has bothered others on this forum ?

Just sold my 1993 MB 500e (W124 chassis) . . . those cars (all W124's) had a beautiful single wiper system - like a Lemans racing car. Wiper arm pivot axis was centered on the windshield, and on a cam that allowed it to move outward slightly as it moved toward each upper corner of the windshield. The design offered excellent (90% ?) sweep of the windshield (with sightlines that I would kill for in the Lucid - another topic), and never pushed water into the other blade - because there wasn't one. Aside from doing it's job well, also very cool to watch. I don't understand why other manufacturer's didn't copy it (patents?) and more perplexingly, why MB forfeited it. Maybe they couldn't take the financial hit of selling 50% fewer replacement blades ?

I have the exact same experience you describe. New car and first ride in the rain today - dangerous - like someone spraying fog across the windshield when the blade goes back down.

I only wish the Lucid software interval for Auto wiper High and Low were better, The auto mode in my BMW was always spot on.

Follow up on driver's side wiper blade streak and dislodging:

I was getting a streak from the middle of the driver's side wiper. I tried replacing the rubber and noticed it had come out of the grove right in that spot: When the wipers stow they travel over the seam where the plastic meets the glass windshield. That seam had a bit of a lip that caught the rubber and pulled it out of the wiper arm. I pushed the plastic back into place and have not had the problem since.

I am wondering if the high heat degrades the rubber on the wiper blades and so we may have to replace them for a different reason.
