Gravity Launch

Good thing we are switching to electric then, I can lessen my gas station addiction now!
The sweet smell of petrol.

Oh how I want to see that. Is that your supra to the left or did I forget your livery?
Yes on the left. The Supra on the far right is another team car we supported. Finishing 1,3 Saturday and 2,3 Sunday. The AMG GT4 taking 1st. So we got a 1,2 and the Mercedes got a 2,1. They struggled early in the season, but now have the car dialed in.

Sounds about right. Based on my Iracing experiences with the GT4, it is understeery yet twitchy in its base form. With some (very hard to pinpoint) tuning, it does somewhat work. The fact that it is detuned a lot vs what the engine can actually handle means it is very reliable for endurance(if that is what you do?)

I much preferred my M4 GT4 and Vantage GT4 as far as front engine cars go.

I actually find this conversation extremely interesting but wish it were in the correct place. Please keep your conversation here related to the Gravity release. Your conversation needs to find another spot. Thanks!

The only real way to use the 90 degree opening doors of the Gravity is to park in a handicap spot. Otherwise it's a tight exit for the Air usually for my elder passengers.
The nice thing about SUV's being high is that people can usually just put their foot down immediately after opening the door and they're half way standing already.

And with air suspension, owner can go to settings to toggle on “auto lowering” (kneeling) whenever car is changed to park mode.

I think that he is asking about the track from this one:
Oh, lol, that is the track from that one, just from the ad spot they played in the middle of it.

One thing that they also need to do is at least have a standard moonroof on the pure. No moonroof is a mistake (especially considering even a 30k Camry has a moonroof).

I've watched all the videos I can find on the L.A. Auto Show, and there is a constant theme: the crowds are pretty light throughout the show . . . except at the Lucid exhibit, which is constantly thronged.

Kyle Conner of "Out of Spec Motoring" said he had to wait 3 hours to get close enough to the Gravity to start filming. And I just watched another video that covered, among other things, the new Acura ZDX EV at the show. Almost no one was in sight, and the filming was up close, including interior shots. Then, when the reviewer turned to the Gravity, he had to film from a distance because there was so much traffic around the vehicle.

I've watched every YouTube video, pored over most of the comments, and read every article I could find on the Gravity since its reveal on Thursday, and I'm nearing the point of sleep deprivation. Despite the usual dose of misinformation about specs and vehicle details -- even those Lucid has announced -- it is obvious that all the major auto journalists and auto channels are closely watching the Gravity and cheering on the company.

Lucid may have a real hit on its hands. The responses to the vehicle have been overwhelmingly positive -- more so than with the Air's debut, as positive as those early responses tended to be.

Even some perennial Lucid bashers have been tempered in their criticism. "The Electric Viking", who is very antipathetic to Rawlinson as a business leader and flashes constant warning signals of Lucid's imminent demise, was quite impressed by the Gravity. And one of the most extreme of the Lucid bashers, "Tailosive", could not help but give a few complimentary nods to the Gravity. (When you see a commentator on a set surrounded by Tesla flags, banners, and semi truck models, you pretty much know what you're up against in the objectivity department.)

After a series of pullbacks from sales predictions of the Air, this is all balm to my stock-holding soul.
Agree, when Lucid bashers are silenced, that is a good thing.

SUV's saved Porsche, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati and now Lucid!

I have full confidence Peter and his team will deliver. Their vehicles are just astounding. Even the clay rendition of a pick up truck looks phenomenal. I'm sure the midsize coming in 2026 will be another real big hit.

Sorry. I didn't mean to bash lucid in any way. The Gravity is my dream car. I am just inquiring with regards to whether an 80k gravity has a chance of coming with at least a standard moonroof considering that other rivals have it.
