Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Suggestion 1 - yellow circled area can display song title and artist name. So whenever driver uses steering wheel toward and reverse media button, one can focus on center field of view instead of looking at right cockpit screen to find button to switch between navigation map and media player to get those info. Driver should minimize interaction with right cockpit screen when driving high speed and using buttons on wheels.

Suggestion 2 - blue squared area Display would be better to have 3 options instead of 2: SOC, Distance, SOC & Distance.

Having gotten used to Tesla battery charge displays several years ago, it never occurred to me to wonder why both pack percentage and remaining range can't be displayed simultaneously. That's a very good idea (especially if Lucid cooks up more accurate range estimates).

I would, however, prefer to see the music selection displayed where the front passenger can also see it. There's plenty of room to put a small inset on either the upper or lower screen.

Today I reset my GT 4 times and Bobby reset twice then logged off my primary user account twice. I still couldn’t hear Alexa speaking back to me regardless how I tried. I was about to give me SA a text, then I realized, I had music on pause. And the song track was on Dolby ATMOS. There was no way I would had known that was the problem. And it dawned to me to remember that Dolby ATMOS and Alexa just can’t coexist.

SOLUTION:
We have Alexa indicator icon on top, why not also have “Dolby ATMOS” logo on top as reminder. Because seriously, I falsely thought OTA 1.0.55 had broken my Alexa.

As far as improvements. Put the heated steering wheel button on the steering wheel rather than the screen. One step process in my wife's BMW where the button should be.
2-step process in my AGT.

Also put the wipers back on the stalk. Otherwise, love my GT.

I would like Lucid to have this feature from Rivian’s book.

Proximity locking setting can be set on/off for mobile key. And if it is “on”, one can set to either “always on” or geo-fence to exclude home to avoid constantly waking up Air whenever going into garage with phone in the pocket.

Hello Everyone, my first post here. Got my AGT in early December and use it primarily locally - made my first >100-mile trip last week and charging was easy at EA in Novi, MI.

We all understand that starting a new car company is a gargantuan undertaking and I keep admiring how much Lucid got right. Yes, there are some minor issues, which I put into two categories, 1. "Easy"/short-term and 2. Longer-term. The first are software-related and require "only" development, e.g. the garage door code presents itself on approach, but on exit the surround view stays on too long and it takes three presses to close the door - close surround view, hit Homelink icon, close door. The second are physical issues, e.g. the sun visor is set too low on the windshield and prevents me having the seat as high as I would like because it interferes with my vision. Also, the cupholders are good for a Starbucks cup, but not much else. It's hard to believe things like these made it all the way through to production.

I imagine at least the vast majority of owners are intelligent, thoughtful people with valuable real-world feedback that could help Lucid further delight future customers. It would be a great move on Lucid's part if it sought feedback on our issues and suggestions, which would make us both feel heard and would certainly help with brand ambassadorship. To quote Carlos Ghosn, "You want to make sure this particular car is going to please the customer and then you're going to be rewarded with something that is going to please the shareholder."

Overall, I commend Lucid on an award-winning first effort. It has created a quality, well-executed and enjoyable car that is a pleasure to drive and has moved the needle on the range bugaboo that frightens many people away from their first EV.

"Also, the cupholders are good for a Starbucks cup, but not much else." A typical "cup" is 12 Oz. Typical cup holders are designed to hold a 12 Oz paper cup without issue. To some people a small Starbucks coffee is not considered a cup of coffee. A Starbucks Grande coffee would be considered a cup of coffee. It is just different perspective.

Yes, cupholder/charger/console design is a low point for the Lucid interior.

Loving the car, but for safety reasons I would just like the drivers door to unlock instead of all of the doors, where someone from the other side can jump in. Pretty easy to program that as an option, , hope it comes soon.

That item was included in the Mega Poll. I agree with you. As far as I know, it is already on the roadmap for a future update.

while listening to Tidal on my phone if I hear a song I like I can easily add it as a favorite by hitting the "+", is there a way to do that from the Lucid tablet? If not I would like that feature added.

Not at the moment. Other brands’ EVs have Tidal as well, but cannot do that either. I suspect on EVs, it’s just reading mode.

Rivian just further enhanced the proximity locking to toggle on/off not just for phone, but also for physical fob as well.

One can fine-tune to have it on/off using either phone or fob or both. And at home can be geofenced off to prevent car waking up in garage and prolong fob battery life. If it is off, driver must press key on phone or physical fob to unlock.

Please have this feature in Lucid settings as well to let user customize. It will improve user experience and fob battery life.

Hi Bobby, are the results of the Mega Poll available?
The best way to see the results is to visit the poll itself, and sort by votes. Then the items will be in order of popularity. The items with a blue font have been (at least partially) implemented.

I never buy coffee but bring a travel mug or water bottle on most trips, neither of which fit in the cup holders. I don’t think I’ve brought any drinking vessel into my car in 20 years that would fit in that cup holder. My previous 14 year old Prius had adequate sized cup holders. It’s a simple thing but I don’t know how they could get it so wrong.

This seems like it would be a very simple thing to implement, but being able to use the steering wheel arrow keys to toggle between “favorite” radio stations would be really nice. It essentially adds the ability to toggle between preset radio stations on older cars. I feel like it didn’t see this on the Mega-poll wishlist.

I would love for a user to be able to select Dolby Atmos tracks them master tracks in Tidal as the default. I spend way too much time searching for Atmos albums/tracks and it should be way easier than it is right now.

I don't understand the complaints over the cupholders. They are a snug fit but I haven't had any issues fitting drinks in my Pure's cupholders. The Lucid water bottle that came complimentary fits perfectly.
