Just over $100 a month with USAA including multi car discount, home and the whole works. All of our insurance is through USAA.

Progressive $475, 6-months, highest possible coverage all categories except no road assistsnce and no rental, highest deductable but 0 on glass. Only one car -- lucid agt with them. New customer with them since costco connect couldnt do more than 150k car.

Why is there yet another insurance thread running? We've had about 20 of them already. Just do a search to avoid rehashing the same conversations again and again.

Comparing insurance rates is not all that fruitful. There are so many variables that affect your rates. Can we please stop with these threads?

They’ve been merged here now.

I’m surprised with all the premium shopping here that more aren’t going with higher deductibles. That’s been my approach. I have no problems raising my deductibles and increasing my ‘self insurance’ quotient. It can have a dramatic impact on premiums and, in the unlikely event you have an accident, you pay out your deductible. I’m sure if you can afford the car you can afford paying out a higher deductible if necessary.

Everyone has their own comfort factor.

It doesn't save much for me. Going from $1k to $5k deductible on collision which is the most expensive part of my premium only saves $200 a year.

USAA 6 month premium:
2020 Acura MDX Sport Hybrid - $505
2008 Toyota Corolla LE - $180
2023 Lucid Air Touring - $681

Standard uninsured with $1000 deductible
Comprehensive and Collision $500 deductible each
20% over vehicle value on replacement
Rental coverage on all
Towing on Toyota and Lucid but can probably turn off Lucid.

Saw the largest drop in premiums on comprehensive and collision deductible changes.

I'm with Connect(Costco) by AmFam. They made me go through a few hoops -- basically they reviewed my entire policy and requalified all my cars (2019 Honda Odyssey and 2017 Tesla Model X). My mother-in-law is also living with us, and they made us prove that she has her own car and insurance. But after all of that, they were able to add my AGT. It's $1700 per year, 250K/500K coverage, 250 comp, 500 collision.

You simply have to be careful getting quotes because some companies like to tell you a six-month quote, but my insurance company, Chubb gives me an annual premium, and I can divide it up and pay it. Anyway, I want, I choose to pay it in six month intervals, and each payment is $1002, making the annual amount $2004 for very very full coverage
Thank You I thought it was something like that.

What state are you in ?

No speeding tickets yet, I suppose. :) I've got the Touring & it just zips. It's pretty easy to be doing 80 & hardly know it.

Ive surprisingly noticed this too. I thought most people buying lucid would have significant money to spare and would typically "self insure" since it cost less longterm or just pay for damages and not involve insurance to skip the hassle. Perhaps a fair number of people strech their dollars having less of a buffer.

Having made my first-ever insurance claim earlier this month, I gotta admit that Toggle (aka Farmers but for millennials) made the process really smooth. No complaints at all.

Pretty good rate too, especially considering I hadn't driven a car in 15 years prior to June
