San Diego Meetup - Sunday Jan 8 -12:00pm

Yea, makes me want to take my new car on its first road trip. 384 miles from my house to Carlsbad Brewing Co.
Do it! I made a road trip to Pismo Beach the very first week I had the car. It is a wonderful car for long trips. Make a weekend of it! San Diego is a beautiful place.

BIG UPDATE
Lucid Motors has graciously offered to pay for the meet-up lunch! As such, we will need a very solid headcount for the restaurant.

If your name is on the list below and you see *** next to your name please direct message me or reply to this thread to indicate how many people are coming, including yourself.

Non-owners and future owners are VERY welcome. Lucid will be bringing one or two test vehicles if anyone wants to take a spin! We will have a fun trivia contest.. brush up on your trivia. Other fun surprises are planned as well!

Date: January 8, 2023
Time: noon
Place: Carlsbad Brewing Co. 6133 Innovation Way Suite 101, Carlsbad, CA 92009

We will meet in the parking lot to the north of the complex.

Love San Diego! We've been going to South Mission Beach every July for the last 20 years (like, it seems, half of Arizona!). I'll feed my wife a couple of beers after work and throw the idea out there.

My wife and I are new to the LUCID Owner’s Forum. Thanks go out to Amish and Len. We are looking forward to hanging out with other LUCID owners on January 8th.

Please count us in and hello everyone!
@MWL was nice seeing you at EA in Ontario! Looking forward to seeing you again this weekend.

Please add two more coming from Palm Springs. My wife agreed and this will be our first road trip.

This is getting good! Wished we had some merch from the site to wear (t-shirt/hat/etc). Should have contracted @Tesla2Lucid to make us up some shirts!

We all have Lucid hats from our purchase 😁

My kids stole everything that was in the frunk as gifts and I haven’t seen them since delivery 😂. Good idea though! I’ll look for them

Ugh I wanna go but I don’t want to drive my rented Model Y down for 8 hours lol
But Tesla's are much better for road tripping...

Yeah, in a world where I liked driving a Tesla, I guess.

Having never owned one but now having had one for 3 weeks, I will never again accept anyone saying “Teslas don’t have issues.” Sure, I can make my turn signal sound like jingle bells and my road look rainbow, but then it also crashes twice a day requiring a reset, sometimes decides to randomly honk the horn for no reason, the navigation consistently tells me the name of the wrong highway (“Take the 101 North” when the only exits are 280 N, 280 S, or 85 N - what it meant was take the 85 N to the 101 N, 3 miles later).

The extra features like sentry mode, auto garage open and close, etc., are neat, but Lucid will add those in due time. But “problem free” they are most definitely not.

San Diego was somewhat late to the get together game...but looks like this is gonna be a blast. Incredible interest and expected turnout!
