Wiper speed

Polish-in a silicone-based glass treatment like RainX and your wipers will do a better job. Be careful not to mix silicon-based washer fluid with "regular" fluid as it will streak and be worse than either two alone. Completely dry before applying silicone if cleaning glass with Windex or similar alcohol-based glass cleaner.

Also check that the rubber edge of your wiper blade is fully inserted in the groove, as it will catch on the plastic trim at the lower edge of the windshield ... make sure it's pushed fully in place and smooth. Also, as mentioned, cleaning the rubber edge of the blade helps a lot. The rubber inserts are available at the service center. I bought a new pair, which I did not need once I saw the problem was the plastic trim edge at the bottom of the windshield.

My issue it happens regardless of rain. If I clean it any more I will wear it out
Then you should have service check it out.

I have no idea what “wear it out” means; you’re cleaning a piece of plastic, heh.

Well, not sure what's going on but I thought the wipers had improved steadily with each update.
However, today, they are back to the dumb improper interval items they were when I first got the car.
They seem to allow the windshield to get completely covered before ever turning on Then, they allow a lot of rain to build up again, so I must manually push the button to single wipe. Over and over. Then, suddenly, they seem to wipe correctly. The "logic" behind them seems to be very broken. And, just to publicize all this, the headlights turn on and off as the wipers park themselves during longer wipe intervals. So on any given drive, the lights turn on and off at lights while the wipers struggle to make sense of what's going on.

How did they get this usability thing so wrong?

I just wish they would allow us to pick the interval if the sensors are this far off. And do what the Germans do regarding the lights. In German cars, if the lights turn on due to wipers, they stay on unless the wipers stop for a long time.

Agree with you 100%. Please let us determine the variable wiper speed.

They do. The single line and double line, next to the auto wipers, are low and high speed respectively.

The low speed is basically unusable for me
Meanwhile I have used the high speed once or twice in the past 2 years. 🤷‍♂️
Clearly more options would be good, but I also wonder if there's a difference between cars or just a difference between drivers.

I have decided most differences are due to drivers. Fight me. :p

I also have turned on high like twice, and use low regularly.

Neither auto low or auto high work well for me. As the previous poster mentioned, low auto is useless and auto high is only about 50% better and not very reliable.I'm constantly having to use the one button press to get the wiper to work when my windshield is already covered with water Having additional wiper speed intervals which the driver can access would help solve this problem.

wipers work fine for me so far. only thing I've noticed is that if they don't sense the rain right away, sometimes I'll do one manual cycle using the turn stalk and that wakes them up. usually this is only when rain starts very lightly and I just want to clear the glass a bit.

I have noticed this too
