I’ve seen several mentions on the forum of sending a report to Lucid with the time when Drive Assist did something funky. The implication was that they can look at my car’s data and learn from that. As I understand it, there’s a limited time window after the event before the car data is unavailable (was it 3 days?).

I tried searching the forums and came up empty…too many results that are just people posting about a glitch! Is there a place in the app or car to submit reports like this?

Or is it all filtered through generic customer care emails or texts?

(FWIW, I’m very impressed by the state of the drive assist and the hands-free. I just felt like it’s time for me to start making the effort to report little glitches like unnecessary slowdowns, to help them iron out those kinks.)

For general feedback, email [email protected]

If it's an actual issue, contact your local service center. I believe the backlog for car event data is 2 weeks, so make a timestamp of the occurrences and tell them to your local service team so they can pull the logs from your car. That's what they had me do when I was having front camera errors.

Can the pull the logs remotely? Or do you mean you have to take the car to them?

I've heard mixed answers to your first question - sometimes yes, sometimes no. For my issue, they said they had to plug in directly to the car to pull the logs.
I’m not talking about sensor faults and that sort of thing…. More like reports of when the car suddenly slowed by 10mph on an highway unnecessarily, or perhaps didn’t respond to a car swerving a bit close. In other words, software development of the driver assist or hands-free software, not hardware issues.

And not even issues, but just learning edges for the system. If they can’t use my car logs remotely when I submit a time and a description of what happened, then it would feel much less useful to report it. I suppose that a clear description of what happened could still be useful to them, but most of what I’m thinking about are things that I’m sure they’re aware are imperfections. I was just thinking that having access to exactly what the sensors were seeing when it happened might help them fine tune the car’s responses?

If this isn’t how it works, I’m fine with just waiting for them to continue with their incremental improvements!
