I’ve seen several mentions on the forum of sending a report to Lucid with the time when Drive Assist did something funky. The implication was that they can look at my car’s data and learn from that. As I understand it, there’s a limited time window after the event before the car data is unavailable (was it 3 days?).

I tried searching the forums and came up empty…too many results that are just people posting about a glitch! Is there a place in the app or car to submit reports like this?

Or is it all filtered through generic customer care emails or texts?

(FWIW, I’m very impressed by the state of the drive assist and the hands-free. I just felt like it’s time for me to start making the effort to report little glitches like unnecessary slowdowns, to help them iron out those kinks.)

For general feedback, email [email protected]

If it's an actual issue, contact your local service center. I believe the backlog for car event data is 2 weeks, so make a timestamp of the occurrences and tell them to your local service team so they can pull the logs from your car. That's what they had me do when I was having front camera errors.

Can the pull the logs remotely? Or do you mean you have to take the car to them?

I've heard mixed answers to your first question - sometimes yes, sometimes no. For my issue, they said they had to plug in directly to the car to pull the logs.

I’m not talking about sensor faults and that sort of thing…. More like reports of when the car suddenly slowed by 10mph on an highway unnecessarily, or perhaps didn’t respond to a car swerving a bit close. In other words, software development of the driver assist or hands-free software, not hardware issues.

And not even issues, but just learning edges for the system. If they can’t use my car logs remotely when I submit a time and a description of what happened, then it would feel much less useful to report it. I suppose that a clear description of what happened could still be useful to them, but most of what I’m thinking about are things that I’m sure they’re aware are imperfections. I was just thinking that having access to exactly what the sensors were seeing when it happened might help them fine tune the car’s responses?

If this isn’t how it works, I’m fine with just waiting for them to continue with their incremental improvements!

I notice the same glitch just a few minutes after being amazed by the smoothness of the "new no hands" DDPro. The first time I was on High Regen the car really decelerates fast I floor the "Go pedal" to go back to my cruise speed and all went back ok. It happen a few time after but i was on normal or no regen setting and the car really brakes. The system didn't disconnect it just look like it sees some danger (or traffic) ahead. I wonder if it will slow down to a stop without me intervening. Never found a empty highway to check it out. How was your experience ?

Similar to yours, I accelerated. It slowed from my cruising speed of ?67-72? Down to 60 before I pumped it up. That seemed too slow on a highway for sure.

Weird for sure. By the number of post on that glitch, it also look like we're the only two having experience this. Use it last weekend, for about 20 miles, and it works perfectly🤔

I just completed a 2200 mile round trip from San Diego CA to Portland OR. The Dream Drive system performed pretty well, with the car starting, and only starting, to phantom brake a few times.

The really startling thing that happened, and it happened twice, was when we were driving on a CA SR. On our SRs, you might have intersections crossing over. Twice during our drive, our car got confused when it came upon the solid white line that demarcates the left turn only lane. Basically the car tried to kill us by swerving to the left, as if it thought that it needed to re-centre itself in the left turn only lane. It startled me, and I took over promptly, and it alarmed my partner who then started barking at me to NOT use Dream Drive while he was in the car. I ignored him.

All of the above to say I'd like some system where we can report bugs to Lucid in real time. On our eight-year old Tesla, all we have to do is press a tab on the right side of the steering wheel, recite "Bug report", and in a few words or phrases, describe the problem. For example, "Phantom Braking!
