What Tuxmats did you buy? Mine are thermoformed plastic, and are completely waterproof.

There was only one option from their site when I bought them and they were not cheap, just double-checked and it was $200 for the set. But these are like a fabric weave sort of material.

I took my Tuxmats out after a few months. Hated them. First, it makes the car feel/look like you're in an Uber or something. Second, they are NOT waterproof. I had a small coffee drip onto one of them, it seeped through entirely to my carpets underneath. Thankfully my steam cleaner took that stain out. Also, because they're not waterproof, they just soak up and hold moisture like crazy. I thought something was wrong with my car because it was constantly fogging up beyond belief. I was forced to run the front and rear defoggers pretty much constantly.

But yes, their coverage is good. I ended up going with the Lucid floor mats, and while their coverage is poor, at least they're waterproof.
That is much different from my experience with Tuxmats. The winter weather here is as bad as anywhere and mine have never let the dirty, salty water from my shoes seep through to my carpets. And there have been many times where there is a puddle on top of the mat after the snow on my boots has melted on a long drive. Maybe yours had some kind of defect?

Same. This year has been particularly bad with the snow and ice and they are holding up fantastically.

Hm,m, mine are a flexible sheet-molded solid plastic with an embossed fabric texture. They are completely waterproof. Could there be a defect in yours?

Not that it may matter, but I bought my TuxMats back in October 2024, although they haven't been installed in my car for two months or so now. I just went on to TuxMat's site today and saw a return option, even though they say they only have a 30 day return policy. I submitted the form and they've gone well beyond that 30 days and are letting me get a refund on my mats since I'm unhappy with them. So props to them for going above and beyond as a company. I for sure respect that.
