Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

This is a Gravity thread, not an Air thread. Please do not try and confuse the two.
I understand PAAK is a Gravity feature, not confused!

My responses were about positive vs negative YouTube reviews. I think it is a mistake to downplay/dismiss the issues posted by the small number YouTubers that address long-tern ownership and persistent problems, missed or delayed implementation of fixes and promised features that linger in the Lucid brand.

Feels like we’ve completely lost track of the OP post from Marqie. PaaK will be late and they acknowledge folks are waiting for it.

For well over a year I’ve watched everyone whine about Lucid not being transparent. Now they’re trying to be a bit more transparent (BTW - I think the prior deadlines were set by an entirely different mgmt team, but not sure), and everyone is still pissed. We aren’t all going to get our cookies and milk. Sorry.

This was a very specific thread about an update and transparency directly from Lucid and look at the reaction.

Come on. Yes, we all have a right to be disappointed about various things, Lucid is FAR from perfect, but if you’re that upset, go find a different car and move on. There are plenty of high-end EVs now. I know, folks have leases and are “locked in”, etc. Tough. Learn, live and move on. Life’s too short. YOLO
I usually like your posts. lol

Telling us after all this waiting that we have to continue to wait for a feature without telling us any of the reasons for delay is hardly being transparent. At least she apologized in the thread...Lucid is not good at that as a whole. ;-)

Pushing it a month we may say we want to make it perfect but pushing a max of 6 months is incapability or don't care for customers. If you know this was promised Q4 2025 or Q1 2026
Dude, it’s not that they don’t care. There must have been an issue they are trying to fix. If they didn’t care, they would release a broken PAAK. Think they did this on purpose. Ghosh….it's just a PAAK, go use your key fob in the meantime. People acting as if the world is crashing around them……

Personally, the whole uproar about CCV not available in the reward store was a surprise for me. I would have thought that it's not a big deal for anyone who can afford a Lucid.
If Lucid could've done it easily, they probably would've done it already to stop the negative vibes.
Agree, it’s only $950…..if can afford a Lucid, you can afford that……or maybe you bought a car you couldn’t afford.

I suspect you will continue to claim your car has four wheels; if something fails, you might say it is fine, that Lucid is great, and that I can push my car by hand 😂.
If they persist in this pattern, yes, the world will collapse around them, and they will surely become Fisker 2.0—a result we as owners do not want. We should avoid giving Lucid endless passes, as if this is nothing at all. Eventually, the company will amount to nothing.

Lucid really should’ve taken up Tesla’s offer to license their FSD instead of whatever strategy they’re currently going with.

As a Gravity owner, given how terrible the existing software is for everything, I have no confidence in anything this company pushes out. Everything has been half assed like their “hvac fix”.
Sorry, I’m not trusting my life with just cameras and no redundancy.

Stop over exaggerating everything….3 month delay, so what! You can still get in your car and drive it. Ghosh!

Not having PAAK for 3 more months has made your car useless?

It is not an exaggeration; your response consistently states that owners should not ask anything, while Lucid is always excellent at what they do 😂 also dont forget its not three months this is promised Q1 2026.
I believe you don't have same issues as most of us or you don't drive a Lucid, and my bet is second one.

Right, Lucid is excellent... as their delivery numbers reflect 😂

Let’s knock it off and get back on topic, please.

Kyle went from being super excited about the Gravity a year plus ago to now be bothered by every single small detail he encounters.
As anybody would be.

Who cares about a great suspension, amazing packaging, etc, when you can't close your windows and the nearest service center can only see you in 6 weeks?

Lucid is failing on basic mundane car stuff. I have an upcoming road trip and I feel better renting any piece of crap Hertz has, than driving my own $100k car.

Lucid should certainly get credit for posting the update rather than letting the date quietly slide. But I think people defending Lucid here and telling those who are frustrated to simply “suck it up” are missing why this one landed harder than a normal delay.

It's the cadence. From the LucidTracker data, it's been 51 days since the last OTA hit the fleet. The average gap between releases is 28 days, and the average gap between actual feature updates is 87 days. So we're approaching 2x the normal release interval with nothing, and we're coming up on 3 months since a real feature shipped.

When updates are landing every few weeks, a slip on one feature is a shrug, something else is coming next week etc. so who cares. When the cadence is this slow, a single feature carries the whole quarter. PaaK was that feature, owners were told at events it was done and waiting on Apple, and it just went from "done" to Q1 2027 with no intermediate release in between. That's what people are reacting to, not the fact that Lucid posted.

Which is also where the communication could have been better. If there's an update coming soon, and after 51 days there should be, the post should have said so. "PaaK is slipping to Q1 2027, but here's what's landing in the next few weeks" is a completely different message than a bare delay notice. It tells owners the pipeline is still moving. Instead we got the bad news on its own, into a 51-day silence, and were left to fill in the rest ourselves.

PaaK isn't the only thing on the clock. The March roadmap listed AI Assistant, V2H, Enhanced Auto Park, Video Streaming, and hands-on city driving all for 2026. It's October, If some of those or all of them are slipping too, saying so now is far better than a series of one-line posts in December, or worse, silence and the year just ends. The frustration in this thread is the predictable result of finding out late. Getting ahead of the rest of the list is how Lucid avoids repeating it.

We can thank them for the communication but people can still be disappointed by what it said. Both are fair.

@HC_79 I couldn't have said it better.

My only hope is they're going to launch/announce the next software update in conjunction with Q3 production/delivery numbers that come out tomorrow.

And the Gravity has been out for THREE YEARS. There is no way this took three years to still fail to deliver. It speaks to some sort of disfunction far beyond what we are seeing.

Gravity has been out for less than two years, not THREE.

You are making a mountain out of a mole hill. But if that’s how you wish the live, go ahead.

But this is a mole hill the size of mountain and at this size mole hill is so fragile.

Absolutely agree with this. But I give them slightly more grace on this one, only because they did ship UX 3 on Air this month. My guess is they prioritized that release, which was even longer overdue, in order to get it out the door and make Air owners happy.

Okay. I just made myself laugh at the thought of any Lucid owner being happy.
