Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

With billons in losses every year not sure why cant they spend little more and deliver this stuff.

I know i know, someone will come and say they may already have big team bigger team biggest team, but its pretry evident thats no enough. And Lucid is not trying to invent something that doesn't exist in the universe and even with the AI that is helping everyone in many ways they cant meet a single dead line. All i can say is shame on Lucid and shame on Team. This is my opinion and i am not asking anyone to agree 😊

Another missed timeline, which is not good given the optics and financial situation. If the PAAK can’t be delivered in Q4, then I’m resetting what little expectation I had for Handsfree City Driving in Q4.

Meanwhile I’ve been without an OTA software update since May. My DE has been sitting outside at the Roswell, GA SC for 4 weeks burning up in the hot Atlanta sun waiting for a diagnosis. My blood is boiling. They’ve lost 3 of their 6 techs.

I will be listening intently to Silvio’s earnings call in early November for signs of hope.

All of my Tesla friends don’t think Lucid is going to make it. For the first time I’m seriously beginning to believe it. I love the car, but thank God I leased it.
Also leased. My GGT drive system failed and it’s been sitting in Costa Mesa since 9/20 with no tech assigned. Looking at 45 days to repair, possibly longer. I submitted a buyback/replacement review request. Huge supporter of the brand and we love the vehicle. But a vehicle has to do the basics first: move me from A to B.

Never doubted this company but how my situation plays out will be telling.

We've been hearing for years now that buyers should make the decision based upon what features are currently available, which is a good recommendation.
However, on the opposite side, I wish car manufacturers would not advertise features unless they are imminent. That'd be truly truth in advertisement.

If Lucid did that then a lot of people shopping by feature would have immediately picked something else

Android phones don't need iOS27... 🙂
Nor do iPhones honestly. There's almost nothing new in iOS 27 for Car Key AFAIK, they just updated the initial setup part of adding the car to Wallet. All of the backend stuff has been in place for years now.

Plus the ones they no longer mention... AR HUD, Traffic light detection, etc
D’oh! You had to bring up the AR HUD. I’d long ago given up on it. I forgot I even have a HUD, since I turned it off.

Silly me would still have bought Lucid for the engineering, the space packaging, and the battery technology.
I think most of us jumped in under those premises. I sold a one year old Model X to get the GGT. I didn't think that was gonna be the case, but I do find myself missing the tech features from the MX. Not just any of them in particular, but the whole package of quality of life features (streaming apps, self closing doors, hands free trunk gate, games for the kids, etc etc)

We hope Lucid meets the established deadline in future, as Tesla and Rivian are exceeding delivery estimates while Lucid continues to lag; such delays do not strengthen its position.
With above i think HandsFree City and other things are also getting delayed?
They need to be perfect in their software. Better to be late than release something broken. The “ exceeded expectations” by Tesla and Rivian was a minor exceed. Not dramatic.

It’s good to see transparency and you can see a big change to the better under Napoli’s leadership. Take ownership and aim for perfection! Everything else is just noise.

This is a bit disappointing, of course. But count me in the “I’d rather wait and it works” camp.

The fob is working fine for me. I’ll carry it a few extra months.

Yeah I guess it doesn't matter in either case. I'd be surprised if they could deliver hands on by Q2 2027 if they couldn't even do PAAK, which is FAR simpler, this year.
PAAK needs Apple and Google cooperation. I can see how this can be delayed. And it’s only a few months. Nothing burger.

Pushing it a month we may say we want to make it perfect but pushing a max of 6 months is incapability or don't care for customers. If you know this was promised Q4 2025 or Q1 2026

I leased the Gravity for 24 months. 22 months to go, it has been back to service center 4 times: air bag sensor, botched mobile install of homelink, faulty window, failed software update, loose locking of row 3 seats when stored (5th time scheduled next week). At least the car drives as opposed to others who report weeks and weeks without their cars.(I wonder why those in California where consumer and lemon laws are strong cannot enforce the 30 day buyback, where there are no issues to argue over if you do not have the car 30 days).

The PAK was a big selling point at the studio, imminent they claimed. The self diving in city "very soon", another big sell (more and better sensors than a Tesla they said).

I hope I get to see any features that function in my remaining 22 months, then I am out of the brand. I do like the car, the design, the space, I do like the people in service, but cannot stand the wasted time dealing with issues and a customer service that does not answer or call back.

Where is CCCv2 for the rewards store? AR HUD? V2H? Blah blah. If Lucid was honest less people woulda bought their cars. The whole Gravity launch was a racket anyways when they “launched it” to “friends and family” 😂
Personally, the whole uproar about CCV not available in the reward store was a surprise for me. I would have thought that it's not a big deal for anyone who can afford a Lucid.
If Lucid could've done it easily, they probably would've done it already to stop the negative vibes.

The problem is people have enough points for like ten charges. And Lucid said they were going to put it back in so everyone is waiting.

I actually don't recall if Lucid formally announced what's available in the Rewards Store.
If memory serves, it was more like a request.
But after all, it's a business and they may not choose to make available items of high demand/low supply.
In my case, I'd like to have the gap cover for the 2nd row, but it's never been in the Rewards Store.
One day, I'd just go the Lucid SC and purchase one.

The problem is the car only comes with one fob and they charge over $600 for a second. They should sell a second fob for much less while they still don’t have phone as a key.
Doesn’t the ’27 now come with two or am I mistaken?

If so, I tend to agree, they should give us earlier owners a (discounted or free) 2nd fob with this continued PaaK delay.
