Access to Tesla Supercharger has become the new Android Auto Thursday.

From Lucid press release on Jan 28th "Furthermore, in addition to the Lucid Gravity, access to the Tesla Supercharger network for Lucid Air is planned for Q2 2025, with more information to follow."

There will be many more to miss 😂
Take Lucid’s timeline with a grain of salt.

Planned, plans could fall apart….

Lucid said Q3 at least a month ago. It's disappointing, but not totally surprising or unusual.

I think pretty much every company who has made an agreement with the SuperCharger network has been a bit behind their initial predictions. These sorts of deals take time. I wouldn't put the blame on either party. It's complicated getting these things hashed out.

The important thing is Gravity already has access. So we know the Air can't be too far behind. It's not a matter of the company being shut out or something.

I don't plan on ever using Superchargers with my Air, anyway. In a pinch, maybe, if all other options are exhausted. It'll be nice to have. But so long as Air can't get top speeds, there will almost always be a faster option for me.

Its 95% useless right now without Tesla refreshing V4 chargers. I feel this should not be Lucid’s priority unless Air is going to get native NACS soon 😃

Yeah this doesn’t mean that much without speeds over 50kw. I did see a Chevy Blazer EV charging at a supercharger yesterday. Couldn’t tell the speed though.

It's not worthless to me. I live in an area where there are a ton of Superchargers and way fewer EA/Chargepoint/MB/RAN etc. Of course now I have a car with 500 miles of range, so that takes the pressure off.

Your Lucid Air will charge at the same speed as a Chevy Bolt and you have twice the capacity (ie will take twice the time to charge). You will be more hated than the Bolt at your Tesla SCS 🤣🤣🤣

Hard pass for me

Let's talk this out. Personally I love being able to have more options for charging, especially on the lengthy road trip. EA may be faster but only if I don't have to wait in line. Also, Tesla consistently achieves stellar uptime, with independent checks showing ~99% individual-stall success. Electrify America performs notably worse, with real-world uptime varying between ≈ 74% (independent audits)and 91% (J.D. Power Q1 2025) — even though EA claims NEVI compliance at 97%. You can choose who you believe.

Today: at 50 kW in a GT charging from 20% to 80% is 60% of the battery, or about 67.2 kWh.
At a 50 kW charging rate, that would take approximately: 67.2 kWh ÷ 50 kW 1h 20min.

Future: When Tesla upgrades the Supercharger to 1,000V, which they are doing and anticipate starting this year. (Source)
Our GT supports up to 924V charging and can charge at up to 300 kW, but only if the charger supports those voltages and delivers high current.
If Tesla upgraded a Supercharger to support 1,000V and sufficient amps, the Lucid could then theoretically charge at its full speed, up to 300 kW.

If I need to get home and have no other options, 50kW charging is just fine.

And you'll be able to count on it working.

My guess is that Lucid will either get Tesla Supercharger access for the Air by the end of Q2 2026, or possibly sooner if they switch the Air to native NACS.

Don’t worry about the charging speed. Tesla may convert all their charging stations to 1000v ones before Lucid Air gets access 😂

Just a hunch, my own, no hating please, the Air will get access to Tesla Superchargers when they launch the model year with native NACS. Highly unlikely for Air 2026, but possible with Air 2027. Meaning late summer 2026.

I sincerely hope I am wrong. That’s just the skeptic in me. I own an Air currently, so…

Why do you expect this large of a delay from what Lucid has said for the past several weeks: Q3 2025? Three months away, per Lucid, vs twelve or eighteen?
