I'm about to pull a trigger on a Touring with 20in summer tires. But winter will be here before the car gets here, so I'm gong to have to figure out the winter tires fast. I was looking at the Lucid store and the have 19 inch winter tire wheel sets, but they don't have it in stealth. I'm hoping they can customize that.

But the real questions are, how are people swapping them out twice a year? It seems like the size change requires adjusting the software and registering the tpms. Can any tire shop do that or just Lucid? If it has to be Lucid, will mobile service come do it, or do I have to take it in? If I have to take it in, how do I transport the tires back and forth? They won't fit in the trunk I assume.

I drive in some bad weather because of work sometimes in the winter, so I want to protect this beautiful car (and myself).

Any shop can swap the wheels and tires, but you’ll want to find a reputable one that will torque them correctly, lift the car properly, etc.

The TPMS and wheel size settings you can do yourself through the Pilot Panel.

Transporting the tires is on you. With the seats down, I fit all four 19s flat in the Lucid just fine.

For the 21s, I had to have my wife bring her Ioniq 5 with them.

Lucid mobile service *can* do it if they have a tire van in your area. I don’t know if they still do. It’s been a while; I used to swap them, but honestly I should sell the 19s. I haven’t swapped them on in well over a year.

You can use the pilot panel to change the software for the wheel size: 19", 20", 21".
A full set of 21" wheels / tires will fit in the Lucid with the seats folded.

Funny enough, on my DE I can only select 19 or 21. I suspect this is because the DE never had 20s as an option. Of course, I’m sure I could get service to fix it if I got 20s, but I was amused by that.

You don't even need to have TPMS programmed. I swapped in aftermarket wheels/tires with eBay TPMS sensors and within 2-3 miles of driving it picked them up and they are working well. Neither the shop nor Lucid programmed them.

I have 20's as well and have been using Michelin All Seasons on the OEM wheels for the last 2 Cleveland winters. We get quite a bit of snow and the all seasons have been really great.

I just have the local service shop store the summer tires for me (~$100 yr) and they swap them in Spring and fall for a nominal fee. When the summers eventually wear out I'm just going to use the all seasons 100% of the time as I can't tell a different in ride or noise.

That's great to hear. Didn't realize the cargo space was that big. Another plus.

The 19" wheels/tires are the same diameter as the 21" wheels/tires. My car is still in the shop (since July) waiting for Liberty Mutual to approve the bumper cover replacement, else I'd post a photo with the 21"s and the19" wheel/tire sets showing they are the same diameter.

The nice thing was the update that gave us the option of seasonal swapping and not having to go to service to have the car programed for the different pressures (19" = 49 psi: 21" = 44 psi) else you'd get a constant WARNING light for low tire pressure every time you swapped in the 21s. The pilot panel now shows 19",20", and 21" options. You can correct the car's software for any wheel/tire option approved by Lucid.
